Absolutely dreadful experience! It nearly turned my wedding into a disaster! The gown arrived in the incorrect size despite being ordered well in advance, and the customer service was appalling.
I had ordered my dress a year and a half beforehand, but it showed up in the wrong size (just to clarify, I had ordered the correct size). It was a strapless, fitted dress that literally slipped off when I tried it on for the first time! The lady helping me was worried as the shop had not given her enough time to make alterations, even though I came in as instructed.
When I complained, they claimed it was too late to get a replacement and that they had not checked the dress upon arrival. They offered to cover the cost of alterations, but those were already included in the price I had paid. Their solution was to leave it to the fitter, who was a contractor with too much work on her plate (mostly from the same store) to fix it promptly. Additionally, the shop refused to make the one alteration that was part of the initial agreement and insisted that I pay in full before taking the dress home, albeit with a small £20 discount.
By the time my wedding day arrived, I still liked my dress, but the whole ordeal had taken its toll on my excitement. The lack of customer service was also disheartening - they left everything to the fitter, and I doubt they would have admitted the mistake if I hadn't known my dress size and pointed it out. The manager never checked on me during fittings (I always had to seek her out), and when it was time to pay, the owner/manager stayed hidden upstairs and didn't come down to apologize or discuss any further discount, leaving that task to the receptionist (who kept insisting that we had paid a lot for alterations, even though they wouldn't have been necessary if the dress had been the right size).
Thankfully, the dress fitter was skilled and managed to fix the dress after multiple trips with long waits between each one. However, the final alteration was not completed, so my mom had to make adjustments on my wedding day to ensure the buttons closed properly.
If you want a special dress and professional service, steer clear of this place.

What a fantastic experience we had on Sunday! My partner and I are two grooms getting married next summer. Emma was absolutely amazing with our 4 groomsmen and was incredibly attentive to all of us. She allowed them to choose the dresses they liked and made sure everyone had refreshments. There were no issues at all, and the guys loved trying on the dresses.
The only thing I would mention is that the sizes sent by the designers are all very small. Considering that the average Scottish lady is a size 16, it would be great if you could cater to all body types. One of my closest groomsmen felt very self-conscious as she couldn't try on 98% of the dresses. Even though Emma did her best to help her, it wasn't Emma's fault. It would be wonderful if the shop stocked a better range of sizes. Seeing my best friend so upset really affected me.

I would give zero stars if I could - I've just had the most dreadful experience here!! I feel absolutely dreadful! Avoid at all costs!! They completely ruined the moment when I thought I had found my perfect dress. I was assured a certain price to buy it off the rack, but when I came back to try it on, they attempted to charge me the full price for a sample. Only then did they inform me that I could no longer have the promised price after I had already said yes to the dress. The owner, Fran, was incredibly aggressive towards me, speaking down to me and accusing me of lying to the point where I ended up in tears. This was the worst experience and it completely ruined the bridal gown shopping experience for me. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
In response to your comment below - The new dress was priced at £1600. I was told that if I purchased the sample dress along with the veil, it would be £1380. This is a discount of £220, not the £500 reduction you are claiming. Also, it is important to note that this price is for a sample dress that has been worn and tried on, so it would understandably be less expensive than the brand new dress priced at £1600... When I inquired about the possibility of purchasing the dress without the veil and deducting the veil's price, you were extremely condescending and defensive. I politely asked if this was an option as I was still undecided about wearing a veil. At that moment, you made it clear that you would not reduce the additional £80 for the veil. It is quite intriguing that at this point in my appointment, you were aware of the agreed-upon price for purchasing the sample and had no issues with it or mentioned any error. It was only after I had accepted the dress and had become excited that you decided to backtrack on the price once I declined the £50 dry cleaning. Shockingly, you then tried to sell me the sample dress at the same price as ordering a new one!!! Absolutely disgraceful. Regardless of any falsehoods or deceit, the manner in which I was spoken to was utterly appalling and revolting. Anyone who speaks to another human being in such a manner, especially someone half their age, should be ashamed of themselves.

I had the pleasure of perusing and selecting dresses to try on from the splendid selection in the boutique - a luxury I hadn't encountered at other shops.
