We brought our 4-year-old along while looking for a children's indoor play area during our holiday in Ayr, and what a delightful spot by the sea. The pricing was fantastic - £6.95 for 2 hours for our son and FREE FOR PARENTS - that's something I haven't seen in England! The menu offered a great variety, there were plenty of seating areas, everything was clean and reasonably priced. There were lots of activities and gift shops as well. Well done, keep up the good work! 👍🙂✅ A*****

I organized a Laser party for my 11-year-old last night and I must say, it was absolutely brilliant! The service was top-notch – Kieran, Taylor, and the rest of the team were fantastic! The kids had a blast playing two rounds of laser tag and they loved the buffet, ice cream, and juice that were served to them.
I highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for a fun and hassle-free experience. It was a night to remember!

Arrr, me hearties! Pirate Petes be a treasure trove for the little ones. With a 3-floor soft play area that's perfect for kids of all ages, as well as a separate space for the wee ones under 5. And don't forget the face painting stall for just £3, where ye can also get yer hair chalked and nails painted. I reckon this be the finest soft play spot in all o' Ayrshire. I be keen to book me daughter's birthday bash here this year. Aye, Pirate Petes be a real gem for the young scallywags!
Jason Patterson (23/08/2025, 12:48):
My wee ones had a fantastic time at Pirate Petes, all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The grub was top-notch, a tad pricey but well worth it. The family stay, play and eat meal deal is a steal if you're considering dining there. For 2 bairns and 2 grown-ups, it was £45 on the weekends.
William Mitchell (18/08/2025, 22:17):
Oh my, can I just say that the fish and chips at this place are absolutely fantastic! And let me tell you, the staff here are top-notch, always going above and beyond to help out. Highly recommend this spot for a lovely day out with the little ones, cheers!
Mia White (18/08/2025, 21:37):
£32 to take 3 little ones in. Prices have been hiked up like crazy, thinking families will just fork it over. Absolutely not happening again. Total rip off, mate.
Wayne Ortiz (17/08/2025, 17:49):
Brought my daughter to this children's amusement center last Saturday, and she absolutely adored it. The soft play area was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was top-notch. Highly recommend!
Ava Diaz (16/08/2025, 06:43):
Plenty of space indoors for the little ones to play, with separate zones for the older kids. It can get a bit crowded and noisy, but the children have a blast. The cafe offers a decent menu with okay food. The restrooms are tidy, and while parking right outside is limited, there are other options nearby.
Nancy Hughes (15/08/2025, 23:04):
I visited this place back in the 90s/00s when it was called Bananas and then Kidz Play - it was delightful to revisit this week with my son. The total entry fee for my 2-year-old, my husband, and me was just £7, allowing us unlimited time to enjoy the facilities. It was a fantastic deal for a rainy weekday, and surprisingly, it wasn't too crowded. The coffee and food offerings were spot on for a children's amusement center, and the staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. I was impressed by how they divided the play areas for babies/toddlers, under 5s, and older kids. There was so much to keep them entertained for hours! We will definitely be returning!
Samuel Roberts (14/08/2025, 13:03):
The play area is massive, with a restaurant inside. It gets quite bustling, and it costs 11 pounds per child for 2 hours of fun. The kids absolutely loved it, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Andrew Torres (13/08/2025, 15:42):
Our visit to the children's amusement center was absolutely splendid! It was my little one's inaugural soft play adventure, and it couldn't have gone any smoother. As a member of the deaf community, I greatly appreciate the receptionist's assistance in using sign language to help us check-in and familiarize ourselves with the facilities. The stress-free and delightful experience has certainly earned this place a spot on our must-visit list. We're already looking forward to our next outing there!
Andrea Butler (10/08/2025, 22:40):
I must say, Pirate Pete's is an absolute hit with my little ones. While it can get a bit pricey and the fluctuating rates can be a tad bothersome, the soft play area is top-notch and always spick and span. The food options are surprisingly delectable as well, which is quite a feat for a children's amusement center.
Moreover, they've got a charming arcade corner and often provide face painting services. Recently, they've even set up their own ice cream kiosk, much to the delight of the kids. And let's not forget the party packages and newly introduced annual memberships for us frequent visitors.
Not to mention, unlike other places, there's no need to endure long queues in the pouring rain just to get in. Pirate Pete's truly ticks all the boxes for a fun-filled family day out!
Philip Anderson (09/08/2025, 20:11):
Visited with our 5-year-old and 3-year-old today while on holiday. We found the play and dine deal to be a good value. The staff were excellent at catering to our 3-year-old's dietary requirements. They were very accommodating and upgraded us to the Adults meal deal without any hassle when we changed our minds. Couldn't have asked for better service. It was also convenient that they had facilities available for non-walkers like our 8-month-old, providing bouncers, walkers, and high chairs. Great experience overall!
Rose Richardson (08/08/2025, 20:47):
It's not the most horrendous place, but it's not top-notch either. During the week, it costs £6.95. They used to offer the little ones a juice and some biscuits, but this was discontinued on weekends and during the summer holidays. It's best to bring your own lunch, as the menu is quite pricey for children.
Brian James (06/08/2025, 12:25):
Absolutely loved it! This children's amusement center is fantastic with its three levels packed full of activities. The food was top-notch as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out. Cheers!
Matthew Price (05/08/2025, 10:25):
Absolutely fantastic multilevel play area for the little ones. Plenty of seating all around for us grown-ups, top-notch food, and impeccable service. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Lucy Gonzalez (05/08/2025, 08:20):
I took my grandkids to the children's amusement center, and one of them has a food allergy. The staff was absolutely fantastic in making sure we had a safe and enjoyable lunch experience. They really went the extra mile to accommodate us, and we are so grateful for their attention to detail and care for our family.
Brandon Turner (03/08/2025, 06:40):
I must say, not impressed at all with the children's amusement center. The entry fee was quite steep, and even though we were one of the first ones there, the tables were sticky. The prices for food and drinks were way too high compared to other places. Can you believe they charged me 70p just for a shot of syrup in my coffee? Needless to say, we won't be returning anytime soon.
Deborah Lee (31/07/2025, 14:33):
Just popped by today with my 4 year old grandson and hubby, the website said £6 for the little one with 1 adult free and £1 for any extra adult, so it should have been £7 in total. However, they charged me £12. What a rip off!
