Picked up my kilt for the wedding here, along with vests for the groomsmen and a complete kilt for my son. They had a huge range of tartans to choose from, and the fitting service was top-notch. The staff were fantastic - really helpful and knowledgeable. They even suggested looking at the 'ex-rental' options to help me save some money.

They went above and beyond to make sure my kilt was ready in time for the big day, and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. A big thank you to everyone there for their hard work!

Awful place, avoid at all costs; much better off going to a respected big-name store like Slaters instead of McCalls. This place has numerous issues:

The customer service is dreadful (more than once). The staff's attitude and behavior are impolite and disrespectful upon entering the store. On one occasion, I went into McCalls dressed casually and had to wait over 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging me despite my attempts to get their attention. A friend of mine, who arrived later wearing more formal attire, was approached before me, even though I had been there first. Needless to say, I didn't make any purchases there and headed straight to Slaters, where I received top-notch customer service and ended up spending over £80. Upon a recent visit to McCalls, the staff's attitude and behavior remained the same. It's safe to say that I won't be giving them a third chance to redeem themselves.

This morning, my mate and I had an appointment to try on some kilts at the shop. We were helped by this lass with fiery red hair who was absolutely dreadful to us. Every query we posed (like 'Can we have a go at the matching jacket?') was met with either an argument or a heap of defensiveness. She seemed in an awful rush to kick us out of the store, despite us having arranged an appointment. At one point, she even suggested it might be too pricey for us and that we should just leave. When we asked her to double-check that she had ordered all the components of the suit, she became extremely stressed and defensive once more. It turned out she hadn't even ordered the kilt and a few other items we had asked for. My mate never got the chance to try on the whole suit, it was just the most terrible service ever. The store seems to offer quality suits, which makes it such a pity that they have someone unfit for a customer-facing role there. Honestly, the whole experience was dreadful. Another customer even overheard how she spoke to us and was shocked as well.

I would strongly advise against using this establishment for kilt rental. The level of service was quite subpar when compared to other options in Aberdeen. I could elaborate further, but suffice it to say, if it were possible, I would have rated it 0 stars.

I tried on 1 jacket and 3 pairs of trousers at the clothing store. Went back in to pick up the chosen outfit after 1 hour and found a jacket 2 sizes too small!

I must say, I had quite a disappointing experience with this clothing store. The customer service was rather lacking and almost came off as aggressive. It's a shame when you expect a pleasant shopping trip and end up feeling quite the opposite.

I say, chaps, I recently attempted to book meself a kilt, yet alas, the blighters wouldn't accommodate the date I fancied. When I dared inquire about the discrepancy in dates they'd entered into their system, they had the cheek to suggest I trudge down to the shop instead of offering a proper solution. 'Tis a pity indeed, for the service has evidently taken a nosedive at what was once a reputable kilt hire establishment. Jolly disappointing, I must say.

Absolutely dreadful experience. I ordered 5 pieces of highland wear for a wedding, only to discover AFTER placing the order that there was no jacket available for the groom. They suggested taking one that was too small or another with sleeves that were too long. What a joke!

I had a reservation for 1pm on a Saturday, with 2 staff members downstairs, but ended up waiting an hour without receiving any service. It was quite disappointing as I had taken the time to make a booking. Eventually, we decided to leave as it seemed like it didn't matter whether we had a reservation or not. Overall, it was a chaotic experience!
