I must say, I was quite disappointed with the service received at the department store. The individual working at the deli counter really embodied a lackadaisical attitude. My sibling visited the store around 2pm today and was informed that they couldn't slice any meat. The explanation provided was rather unclear. Later on, I went to the store at 5pm only to be told that slicing the meat wasn't feasible as the machine required cleaning before closing. It's disheartening to pay premium prices for such an underwhelming encounter. Here's hoping it was simply an off day.

I just want to give a big shoutout to Garry, the Deputy Manager of the Food Hall at House of Bruar. He truly was our hero when he helped us with my daughter-in-law's wheelchair. Garry not only lifted the heavy chair from our car but also set it up for us with a smile. His kindness and willingness to assist really made our day. Garry is a true asset to House of Bruar, and we can't thank him enough. We'll definitely be returning soon! 😊

I strongly advise against shopping online with this brand. I purchased a pair of slippers for my partner as a Christmas present, and after just a few days of wear, the stitching started coming undone. When I reached out to customer service, it took them several days to respond, and they requested that I cover the cost of returning the faulty shoes for inspection. I argued that I should not have to pay for postage since the item was defective. After some back and forth, they finally provided me with a postage label and I sent the shoes back. They confirmed receiving my return on January 27th, but despite sending multiple follow-up emails, I have yet to receive any updates on the status of my refund. Each interaction with their customer service team has been strangely unprofessional; at one point, I even received an out-of-office reply from a woman's personal email address after sending a follow-up email. It has now been 12 days since they received the item, and I still have no idea when my refund will be processed. I have been out of pocket for over two months, and the incompetence of the customer service team is beyond frustrating. I strongly suggest avoiding this brand and taking your business elsewhere to save both your money and your sanity!

A lovely store with a great selection of high-end products and a wide variety of items including clothing, food, hot and cold drinks. It's like a mini luxury department store where you can find everything you need in one place. There's also a cafe on site serving delicious hot and cold food. It's not your typical cheap grab-and-go spot, but more of an upscale destination for shopping and dining, so prices are on the higher side. Plenty of parking available and easy access. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend paying a visit!

I made a pit stop here while traveling down the A9, as it's conveniently located just off the main road. The car park was bustling as usual, but I was pleased to find that the restaurant service was quick and efficient.
I ordered two hearty bowls of soup with thick slices of bread, which were absolutely delicious and priced at just £4.95 each. The menu offered a variety of appetizing options, and I would definitely consider returning in the future.

On my drive frae Edinburgh tae Inverness, I got fair peckish! So, about 2 o' the 3 hours intae the road trip tae Inverness, I made a pit stop here! It was pure brilliant! Rarely do I find myself struggling to pen a review, but bestowing two stars may be a tad severe. The issue arose when my partner, our dog, and I embarked on a 5-mile jaunt to this establishment. While I wholeheartedly grasp that not everyone is fond of our furry companions, most places we frequent nowadays tend to have designated dog-friendly zones. On this particularly rainy day, we found ourselves longing for a covered area with tables and chairs where we could shelter from the downpour with our canine while taking turns browsing. Alas, no such provisions were made outside, except for a sheltered car park exclusively for dog-toting motorists! A commendable initiative, no doubt, but should businesses not be encouraging pedestrian and cyclist patrons in this day and age? I did spot a bicycle storage unit, so perhaps had we cycled with a dog trailer in tow, our situation might have been different. However, enjoying a meal or beverage while standing in a bike shed was hardly appealing.
It came to my attention that others have also lamented the absence of an outdoor covered dining area, and I must concur that it does seem rather peculiar to have an abundance of outdoor tables and chairs all drenched in rain! Curiously, we stumbled upon a dog kennel at the rear of the premises, yet it appeared to be unused—a missed opportunity, in my opinion. It was truly astonishing to witness the multitude of patrons with dogs milling about, a look of bewilderment on their faces! Were it my enterprise, I would view such potential business as too valuable to overlook. Simply introducing a covered section with seating for dog owners would work wonders. Even John Lewis now accommodates dogs—quite peculiar, wouldn't you say?

I popped by this Department store last Saturday, the 4th of January. As a guide, I've brought many clients here before and always had a jolly good time. But this time, visiting with my family, left me quite disappointed, I must say.
The grub at the restaurant was alright, but the trouble started when my wee daughter accidentally dropped the lollipop she had just bought (for less than £3). Of course, I wanted to make things right, so I snagged another lollipop and trotted over to the till to pay for it. Before settling the bill, I kindly inquired if it might be possible to swap it, knowing full well it was our mistake but hoping for a bit of kindness.
The lass at the checkout, who seemed to be struggling with English, retorted in a snappy and offish manner. She scowled and said it was our own doing and we were on the hook for it. Whilst I fully acknowledge our error, her tone and demeanor were needlessly brusque. There's a proper way to handle these situations, and speaking to customers with such scorn is simply not on.
In the end, I forked out for the replacement lollipop, but the whole episode left a sour taste in my mouth. I can grasp being denied an exchange, but I won't abide the impoliteness we encountered. I shan't be returning to this spot, whether with my clients or my kin.
It's deeply disheartening to see someone with such poor customer service skills stationed at the front desk. This visit has completely altered my perception of this establishment.
