I have dined at the steak barn and the cafe over the past few days. The food and service were absolutely top-notch! I will definitely be returning for more delicious meals. Cheers!

I often find meself makin' the journey to Balgove for their incredible produce. I just can't get enough of their granola, it's absolutely addictin'. The selection of top-notch chocolate and their bacon buns to take away are some of me favorites too!

The Farm shop café offers a diverse menu at great prices. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. I ordered a cappuccino with a scone and jam. The coffee was a bit weak for my liking, and the jam was runny and thin. My husband had a sausage roll with three large sausages, and he said they tasted fantastic!

What a wonderful find! This charming little farm shop is a true hidden gem. The coffee is top-notch, the service is impeccable, and the food selection is simply fantastic. Don't even get me started on the delicatessen and butchery - they offer such a wide variety of high-quality goods. I can't recommend this place enough; you'll want to keep coming back for more!

What a lovely farm shop with an abundance of fresh and nutritious goodies that we simply adore. The staff were so courteous and knowledgeable. We will most certainly return. And let's not overlook the charming barn adjacent to it, offering delightful craft beers along with scrumptious steaks and burgers. A definite 5-star experience!

Typically a charming spot for a cuppa and a chat, but today was a bit of a kerfuffle. Our mate with coeliac disease asked for a gluten-free sarnie but got a regular one instead. And to top it off, we stumbled upon a massive, ferocious-looking spider in the allegedly triple-washed salad. They did offer to whip up another sandwich sans salad, but we had to ask for a manager first. Ended up with complimentary drinks and a spider-free sandwich, so that's something!

The grub, bevies, and bakes were absolutely smashing. We did 'ave to wait a fair bit to be served, 'ad to flag down someone to take our order. Blimey, others who popped in after us 'ad already gotten their nosh before we even got our order in. Quite the wait to settle up too, which is a pity 'cause it's a top-notch spot. But that wouldn't deter me from swingin' by again and givin' it another whirl. Cheers!

Popped into a bustling car park, managed to snag a spot after a bit of a wait. Waited in line for about 5 minutes before getting our hands on some delicious soup, scones, and half a sandwich, along with cake, coffee, and a bottle of sparkling water. The service was prompt and friendly, overall a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend, although be prepared to wait a bit longer in line if you do!

Absolutely incredible experience at this farm shop! The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive. Recently took my mum out for a delightful lunch and it was simply fantastic. I decided to visit as part of my keto diet journey, aiming to source pasture-fed products. The flavors of the meat, chicken, and eggs were outstanding, making it impossible to go back to buying low-quality supermarket options. While the prices may be higher, the unparalleled quality is more than worth it. I'll definitely be making the trip twice a month from now on. Plus, since I have to drive past Drumoid driving range, it would be impolite not to stop by! 🏌👍😁

Update 21/1/25
I'm a bit disappointed to report that I've deducted a star 🌟 for the service today. Regrettably, I had to request twice for two items that were missing from a straightforward order for two people. While the food was pleasant, it didn't quite match the excellence of my previous visit; the special was rather average. On the bright side, the soup remains exceptional. Despite this hiccup, I still believe it's worthwhile to pay a visit 🙌👏

Old review:
I was gutted we arrived too late for lunch, but we managed to snag a soup and a sandwich... and let me tell you, no worries were needed! What a satisfying meal and the flavors were astonishing!!!! The coffee was delightful as well, with tempting cakes to take away!! I will definitely return and highly recommend this place 🙌
Eugene Richardson (06/07/2025, 12:42):
This farm shop is an absolute hidden treasure just on the outskirts of town! The café serves up the most delightful fresh food, and let me tell you, the haddock chowder and cheese scone were simply divine. There's truly something for everyone at Balgove and their markets are a must-visit! I can't praise this place enough. The friendly people, the wonderful atmosphere - a solid 10 out of 10. Can't wait to visit again!
Justin Torres (06/07/2025, 12:31):
I absolutely adore the Balgove Larder - the staff are so friendly, and the selection of Scottish produce is simply fantastic. The setting is truly stunning! Thank you for adding an extra touch of magic to Fife - it was superb before, and now it's even better thanks to you!
Austin Kelly (05/07/2025, 20:25):
Never disappoints, always a delightful experience. I make sure to stop by every time I visit Scotland to see my daughter. It's always a pleasure. ✨
Chloe Taylor (05/07/2025, 05:01):
The food is usually top-notch and great value for money. However, the service can be a bit hit or miss, even when it's not particularly busy. The staff are friendly, but they can be a tad slow at times.
Brittany Myers (04/07/2025, 18:18):
Lovely little farm shop and cafe, well-stocked with farm-fresh goodies. Ample parking space and stunning countryside views. Those cakes, absolutely scrumptious!
Arthur Garcia (02/07/2025, 19:18):
Absolutely brilliant! We ventured up to St Andrews and decided to swing by Balgove Larder cafe for a spot of lunch. I opted for the East Neuk smoked Schroeder and the beef fillet bruschetta. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and impeccably prepared. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you happen to find yourself in the vicinity, a visit here is an absolute must!
Brittany Young (01/07/2025, 01:42):
What a delightful family dining experience! The abundance of fresh meat and locally sourced fruits and vegetables truly spoils you for choice. The steak barn is absolutely superb, and the craft gin, beer, and exquisite wines are truly top-notch. Cheers to a fantastic meal at the farm shop!
Kimberly Bennett (29/06/2025, 13:05):
Enjoyed a delightful morning coffee/tea and scones with mates at the farm shop. The scones were truly scrumptious and the staff were absolutely charming. Kudos to everyone for a fantastic experience!
Amber Sanchez (25/06/2025, 18:04):
The best spot to pick up your steaks is definitely from independent butchers, without a doubt. This farm shop has such a wide variety of goods available, from fresh produce to dry goods and preserves. The cashier vanished for a few minutes as the line grew longer, which was a bit frustrating. It seemed like they were understaffed during this busy period. Such a shame.
Mary Smith (23/06/2025, 03:08):
The staff were simply delightful and the food was absolutely delicious. The car park was massive and there was a charming shop as well.
