Visited the fishing store with my husband on 30/11/24 to check out a new rod. The customer service was top-notch! Stephen Francis was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, while Alex O'Rourke at the checkout made the purchasing process a breeze. Although we ended up spending more than we initially intended, my husband was thrilled! I highly recommend this place for all your fishing needs.

I don’t often take the time to leave reviews, but I just had to give a shoutout to Glasgow Angling for their top-notch service.
I was on the lookout for some quality Simms clothing and GA came through as one of the few retailers carrying it. I interacted with three different employees during my visits and I have to say, they all provided me with some solid, friendly advice. They took the time to help me out without making me feel like I was being rushed.
I also bought a Vass bib & brace that didn't fit quite right, but returning it was a breeze with GA. They made the process simple and hassle-free, allowing me to upgrade to the Westin alternative by paying the difference.
All the other gear I got from them was spot on, and now I'm all set to stay warm and dry during my winter fishing sessions. I can't recommend this company enough and I'll definitely be coming back for more gear in the future!

I must say, I had a rather unpleasant experience with their customer service. I returned an item that they initially claimed they hadn't received. After providing evidence of the returned item being received, they insisted there was no issue with it and refused to issue a refund. To top it off, they even went as far as blocking my calls. While I can't generalize about all the staff members, my interaction with Robert was particularly negative - he was extremely impolite, dishonest, and overall quite unpleasant.

Absolutely splendid website! They carry an extensive selection of fishing gear from top-notch brands to more affordable options.

Their service has consistently been swift, and whenever I've needed advice, I've felt assured that I could trust the information provided.

If I were to offer any critique, it would be that the shipping and handling fees on smaller items appear a tad steep. However, on larger items, they are quite reasonable.

All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this store.

I can only speak about the fishing gear section because that's what I was interested in. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and they had a great selection of fishing rods and reels. They also had a wide variety of fishing tackle, which is not always easy to find. I would recommend this store for both beginners and experienced anglers, as they have something for everyone at good prices.

Great store, loads of gear in there, easy to get lost. It's like a sweet shop for anglers, a risky place for your wallet. The staff are really friendly and helpful, plus they offer good prices with plenty of discounts for savvy shoppers.

I had a rather unpleasant experience at GAC! Beware, their returns policy is absolutely laughable. I attempted to exchange a fishing rod, but was denied simply because there was a missing plastic covering on the rod handle that I had purchased. The truth of the matter is, the rod was actually supplied to me with the plastic already falling off. When I brought this to the attention of the customer service representative, they accused me of dishonesty and outright refused to facilitate the exchange. I have no intention of ever patronizing GAC again. If it were possible, I would give them a rating of zero stars, especially for the utter disregard shown by their staff.

I recently placed an order for a savage gear fish grip online, and decided to call the next day to include a fish tape measure to my order. I specifically requested a TAPE measure, not a ruler. However, when my order arrived, I was sent a solid plastic foam ruler instead.

Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that I would have to keep the incorrect item and lose the £7.99 I paid for it. Despite this disappointing experience, they did offer to send me the correct item free of charge. How considerate (NOT).

Overall, I must say I was quite disappointed with the poor customer service received. This interaction has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I do not plan on doing business with this company again. Disappointing indeed.

The website is a tad cumbersome, but the range they offer is second to none. I reckon there isn't a single item I've searched for that they didn't have, or at least a similar option. The prices are top-notch, and the staff are delightful when it comes to collection.

All good and great varieties of fly tying supplies. However, I was disappointed to find that they didn't have any Semperfli products in stock, which is what I was specifically searching for. None at all.

Placed an order on May 16th for items that were in stock. I called on May 19th to inquire about the delivery time, and was informed that it would arrive around May 24th, which amounts to 8 days for delivery. When I asked why the delivery time was so long, I was told that they were very busy with over 700 orders per day. Kudos to you, but may I suggest hiring more staff to meet the demand? I placed 3 other orders on different websites on May 16th, most arrived by May 18th and the last one on May 19th. The order from Glasgow Angling Centre is set to arrive on May 24th. Come on, guys. Take care of your customers so we can continue to support you. Thanks! 👋
