I arrived at the shop around 5:50pm after rushing from work to get an international driving permit. The lady there seemed quite unwilling to assist and mentioned that this part of the office closed at 5:30pm (which was not what the website said). After some hesitation, she agreed to help with my request but informed me that she had already balanced the cash register. She did mention that I could take a photo for the permit if needed, but warned me that the photo booth didn't take great pictures. Overall, I found the service to be quite disappointing. If you're not keen on serving the public, perhaps a different role would be more suitable.

The staff here are wonderfully friendly, although it can get quite busy at times. However, they usually open up the front post office to accommodate the rush. This gift shop is a far superior option compared to other post offices in the North Glasgow area. The Woodhill branch is quite small, and Springburn can be a real hassle with long wait times.

I recently experienced a problem with my order that was supposed to be delivered to this location, and the person assisting at the post office was remarkably impolite and uncooperative. I couldn't locate my tracking number due to an issue, and when I mentioned this to him, he responded in a rude manner, saying, "You are not listening to my question, I need your tracking number." He completely dismissed me and seemed unwilling to assist. The entire interaction made me feel belittled. This individual could definitely benefit from a customer service training course, as this is not how you should conduct business. It's a shame because the other person assisting was delightful.

There's a wide range of greeting cards, newspapers, and other delightful gift items available. Additionally, you'll find a Post Office and Estate Agency conveniently situated within the store.

In the shop at the rear. Can get quite bustling at times. Parking is located at the back, near the park.

Absolutely dreadful experience at Poppies (Bishopbriggs Post Office) for passport applications. The Post Office website stated they were open until 5pm on Saturdays, so I arrived at 1:50pm hoping to renew two passports, only to discover they were closing at 2pm. Despite my apologies and explanation about the website error, they grudgingly agreed to assist us. While getting photo ID in their booth for £10, the photos didn't seem right. The staff assured me they were suitable for passport ID, but upon returning to the counter promptly at 2pm, we were informed they were closed. We headed to the Kirkintilloch Post Office (which indeed stays open until 5pm on Saturdays) where we found out, through the check and send service, that the photos were unacceptable. This led to an additional £15 expense for new photos at a studio on Kirkintilloch main street. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Poppies for passport applications.

The staff at this gift shop were a bit rude, always giving me the evil eye when I was just browsing for some wee keychain trinkets.
Janice Kim (29/05/2025, 06:53):
Had a smashing experience at Poppies Post Office today, I must say! Got me digital passport sorted in a jiffy, about 10 minutes it took. Absolutely spot on and the service was top-notch friendly. Would highly recommend, no doubt about it.
