Unless ye be absolutely sure what ye be wantin', I'd be recommendin' shoppin' elsewhere. Sports Direct will NOT be givin' a cash refund for goods bought in store. Once ye give them yer money, they have it. Ye're not gettin' it back. I got a credit note today, which I'll use online as I'll never set foot in another store again.

Discovered that the staff seem to have a problem with assuming you're stealing, the main aim should be to make your customers feel welcomed and not have them constantly feeling like they're being monitored. Both my little brother and I were left feeling quite awkward and uncomfortable, which is why he didn't end up getting a pair of trainers.

If it weren't for really needing a new pair, I wouldn't have made the purchase myself. Don't deter people, you need the foot traffic.

Never been a fan of answering the phone game, you know. Recently got my son a fresh pair of boots, only to find them all scuffed up. Tried ringing up various places but no one picking up on the other end. And when I finally made my way to the store, it was like being sent on a wild goose chase with no resolution in sight. The only spot that offered any help was Kilmarnock, gotta give credit where it's due.

Found what we were looking for at the Sportswear store... A kids' football! They had a deal where you could get one ball for £4 or two balls for £7. Interestingly, there were two separate baskets with the exact same offer, so we decided to pick one ball from each basket. My daughter opted for a pink Slazenger ball, while my son chose a white Sondico ball.

However, when we reached the checkout, we were surprised to find out that because the balls were from different baskets, each one was priced at £4 instead of the discounted rate for two balls. It was a bit confusing why they had the same offer but restricted it to specific types of balls without clearly stating so!

I purchased a console from the sports store in Ayr through Game and discovered it had a faulty connection. When I tried to return it, I was informed that it wasn't possible due to their policy. The staff who helped me seemed disinterested and somewhat rude. However, when I took the console to another store, they gladly accepted the return and refunded me. Sports Direct in Ayr really needs to improve their customer service and policies. It's a shame since it was their own staff who caused the issue.

I found it a bit challenging to navigate due to the COVID restrictions, but once inside I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and the helpful staff. Overall, I was pleased with my experience and will definitely be shopping there again.

I must say, I've never encountered anything quite like this before. During my visit, I felt like I was being treated as if I were trying to steal something. Things started off fine – they didn't have the trainers in my size, but they said they'd have them by Friday, which seemed promising. However, things took a turn for the worse after that. I found myself being followed around by at least four staff members, it was so obvious. They even pretended to adjust items on a rack I was looking at. I was asked three times if I was okay, which normally wouldn't have been an issue, but when combined with the constant surveillance and peering through the racks, it really started to get on my nerves. If it hadn't been for the fact that there were items I really wanted, I would have left the store right then and there.

At the checkout, they made it abundantly clear about their refund policy – no refunds, only exchanges or store credit. It felt as though they suspected me of trying to steal and return items for cash. I used to be a loyal customer who spent quite a bit in that store, but after this experience, I won't be spending my money there anymore. The way I was treated was absolutely appalling. I'll be taking my business to Irvine in the future. Is Ayr actively trying to drive away more customers?
