Tesco Superstore in Kilbirnie: Your Local Grocery Destination

When it comes to planning your grocery shopping, Tesco Superstore in Kilbirnie offers an excellent solution for the community. With a large variety of products available, it’s a one-stop shop for all your daily needs.

Accessibility and Convenience

One of the key features of this supermarket is its accessibility. The store boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that all customers can navigate the store with ease. Additionally, there are wheelchair-accessible seating options available for those who may need a rest during their shopping trip.

The free parking lot makes visiting Tesco even more convenient, allowing customers to pop in for a quick visit without worrying about parking fees.

Shopping Experience

Tesco offers both in-store shopping and in-store pick-up options, giving customers flexibility in how they shop. If you prefer a streamlined checkout process, NFC mobile payments and credit cards or debit cards are accepted, making transactions simple and quick.

However, some customers have noted issues such as a lack of atmosphere and occasional rude staff interactions. For instance, one customer reported a disappointing experience at the self-checkout, which highlighted the importance of staff training to maintain a welcoming environment.

Product Quality and Sustainability

While Tesco in Kilbirnie stocks a wide range of products, feedback suggests that product quality can be inconsistent, particularly regarding fresh produce. There have been reports of poor sell-by dates on fruits and vegetables, resulting in some customers receiving items that were not fit for consumption. This emphasizes the need for better stock rotation and quality control.

On a positive note, the store supports recycling initiatives, encouraging customers to bring back plastic bags for reuse. It's also important to note that the store has made strides toward being a LGBTQ+ friendly space, promoting inclusivity within the community.

Overall Store Highlights

  • Great produce and a variety of goods
  • Assistant staff who are generally helpful and friendly
  • On-site services like cash points and a photo booth
  • Excellent selection of alcohol-free beverages and vapes
  • A petrol station available, though some customers have reported unreliable opening times

In conclusion, Tesco Superstore in Kilbirnie serves as a vital retail hub for local residents. While there are areas for improvement, especially regarding staff training and product quality, the store remains a necessary resource for everyday shopping needs. Whether you're picking up groceries or choosing items online for in-store pick-up, Tesco continues to be a key player in the community.

I must say, the supermarket has an excellent array of products and a very helpful team.
Mark Ortiz (24/08/2025, 09:09):
The price of gasoline is ridiculously high compared to Asda and even some local petrol stations.
Donald Ward (23/08/2025, 23:49):
The staff is so friendly, the shelves are always well-stocked, and the store is constantly clean and tidy.
William Cruz (23/08/2025, 14:07):
I popped into Supermarket yesterday and absolutely adored it!
Isabella Morales (23/08/2025, 07:45):
Well now, this fine establishment is what we call a supermarket, where one can find a wide array of provisions and sundries for purchase.
Lawrence Cruz (23/08/2025, 04:56):
Great assortment and top-notch service, couldn't ask for more!
Dylan Roberts (23/08/2025, 03:37):
Spacious with a wide variety of options. Ample parking space and helpful staff. The air-conditioning is excellent too.
Wayne Kelly (21/08/2025, 22:40):
Blimey, can't believe how pricey it is to do a spot of shopping at this place now! Just three bits and bobs in your trolley and before you know it, you've already shelled out £40 – and that's not even including any grub for dinner! Outrageous, if you ask me.
Willie Reynolds (19/08/2025, 08:38):
Just popped into this fabulous supermarket for a charity collection. A truly splendid store, I must say. The staff kindly served me some piping hot cups of tea that hit the spot just right. The atmosphere is so welcoming, with the staff being incredibly accommodating and helpful. And to top it off, I managed to snag a few fantastic bargains. What a lovely experience!
Shirley Lee (18/08/2025, 21:33):
I absolutely adore shopping at Tesco! The staff is simply wonderful, and there are always plenty of items on the shelves. I've been a loyal customer for years now. I particularly love the Tesco Clubcard - collecting points really adds up and helps pay for treats like a turkey for Christmas. It's just great!
Emily Reed (14/08/2025, 15:36):
Lovely selection of goodies in this supermarket!
Jennifer Sanders (11/08/2025, 10:07):
This establishment seems quite decent, however the insistence on a dog tag (club card) in order to avail of reasonable prices is rather off-putting. Providing your personal details or face potential consequences seems quite drastic!

It appears to be a manipulative tactic that creates an illusion of customer benefit through information exchange, when in reality it mostly benefits Tesco. What exacerbates the situation is the enforcement of this system during a pandemic, leaving residents with no option but to comply or face penalties for their regular shopping needs. Quite unsettling, if you ask me.
Sarah Hall (10/08/2025, 17:39):
The staff here seems to believe that everyone is a Junkie :-(
Beverly Cook (08/08/2025, 18:03):
This store is fantastic for stocking up on essentials, and it also offers a convenient online ordering service. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - highly recommend!
Sandra Hall (06/08/2025, 03:52):
Visited the Tesco store in Kilbirnie for the first time today and had a rather unpleasant experience at the self-checkout. An elderly staff member, Sharon, accused me of stealing a poly bag in a quite rude manner. This surprised me as I frequent other Tesco stores at least four times a week. Usually, the checkout system prompts me to declare the number of bags I have at the end of the transaction, so I assumed I was following the usual procedure. It was quite embarrassing to be publicly accused of not scanning a 30p bag that I typically add on at the end of my transaction. Dealing with the public in such a manner is unprofessional and should be addressed.
Ann Edwards (02/08/2025, 10:19):
Hello, I wanted to share my thoughts on Tesco. They have everything you need like milk, bread, and toilet paper. What I really appreciate is their variety of alcohol-free beers such as Corona, Stella, Becks, and Heineken. I personally enjoy alcohol-free beers as I cannot consume alcohol due to medication. I also like Tesco's selection of vapes and cigars, in addition to their wide range of frozen and fresh foods. Overall, Tesco is great for fulfilling all your essential needs, so I would rate it 4 out of 5.
Mary Cox (31/07/2025, 23:50):
The staff at this supermarket are just lovely, always willing to lend a hand. They've got a great range of products, all top quality. I'd definitely recommend this place for your shopping needs. And good news, the security guards who used to give us a hard time for our appearance and accents seem to be a thing of the past. Ever since a certain individual left or was let go, there have been no more issues. I'd give this place a solid 5-star rating without hesitation.
John Lee (31/07/2025, 11:40):
This supermarket is a great spot for grabbing all your local goodies.
Stephanie Nguyen (31/07/2025, 08:46):
Everything you'd expect from a Tesco, mate.
Joshua Reed (31/07/2025, 06:08):
I quite fancy Tesco. It's a jolly good store, isn't it?
