Whether you're planning a quick visit or spending more time browsing through clothing items, the store strives to accommodate everyone.

In-Store Shopping Experience

While many appreciate the in-store shopping environment, it's worth being aware that the quality of items can vary significantly. Customers have noted that some products might not meet expected standards, with reports of stains, wear, or holes. Be prepared to thoroughly check items before making payments.

Payment Options

Customer Service & Staff Interaction

Experiences with staff at The Prince & Princess Of Wales Hospice Shop vary greatly. While some customers describe the staff as friendly, helpful, and accommodating, others have reported encounters with rudeness. An older manager has received particular criticism for being abrasive towards both volunteers and customers. However, it’s important to note that many visitors also praise the atmosphere and friendliness of staff, indicating that experiences may differ depending on timing and individual interactions.

Recycling and Sustainability

Shopping at thrift stores like this contributes to recycling efforts within the community. By purchasing pre-loved clothing and other items, you support sustainable practices while saving money, making each trip feel rewarding.

Same-Day Delivery and Planning Your Visit

Though not mentioned explicitly by customers, the option for same-day delivery could make this shop more appealing, especially for those with busy schedules. If you're planning to stop by, be sure to check current operating hours and any special deals.

I recently had a rather unpleasant experience at this thrift store. The older woman working at the counter made me feel quite foolish when I tried to donate a bag of clothes. It turns out this particular charity shop doesn't accept donations, which I was unaware of. She not only embarrassed me in front of others but also pointed out a sign on the wall that apparently stated this policy. I must admit, I didn't notice the sign as it didn't occur to me to look for it. In any case, I will be taking my donations to the Hospice Shop in Shawlands from now on, where the staff are much more welcoming and appreciative.
