Oh, what a shame, darling, our experience shopping for a Mother of the Bride outfit was rather disappointing. The staff appeared charming, a tad over the top, but that's quite alright. However, they were quite insistent, and their demeanor shifted dramatically when Mum failed to find anything that truly captured her heart to purchase. We were left with the feeling that we had inconvenienced them (they were keen to remind us of the time they had dedicated to us). Can you believe it? We were there for a mere 55 minutes! I wouldn't suggest this establishment, and we shall continue our quest elsewhere, hopefully at a store that doesn't pressure us into a purchase unless it truly speaks to us. Cheers!

Absolutely dreadful experience. The gowns were terribly outdated, and the attendant didn't pay any mind to my preferences or requirements. I walked out of the store feeling absolutely dreadful and completely demoralized. Reluctantly, I decided to visit another store the following week where the attendant actually listened to me, and lo and behold, the first dress she showed me stole my heart. An attendant should have the ability to assess a person and determine what would suit and enhance their beauty. If you don't have that talent, no amount of experience will make up for it.

I usually handle matters directly with businesses, but after a dismissive response from Lady G, I feel compelled to share my experience. Other negative reviews accurately mirror our encounter.
I scheduled an appointment for my mum, providing her size as requested. Upon arrival, the store owner was brusque, enforcing a strict “no phones and no photos” policy, even when I simply took my phone out briefly. She disregarded my input with comments like “you’re not wearing it” and “don’t listen to him,” which I found both impolite and disrespectful, especially since customers bring guests specifically for their opinions.
When my mum turned out to be a size larger than anticipated and preferred a long dress, the owner made inappropriate remarks, rolled her eyes, and gestured to staff, seemingly forgetting that I could observe everything. While other sales staff were pleasant, the overall customer service was abysmal.
The shop offers a wide selection of dresses but feels outdated and worn. We departed after 25 minutes; luckily, my mum found the experience more amusing than upsetting.
Regarding the £20 deposit, I do not intend to dispute it, though I believed a refund was justified given the limited options. Interestingly, all other stores we visited refunded deposits; it's peculiar that Lady G does not.
In their response, the store claimed confusion because the appointment was booked under my name rather than my mum’s. I am uncertain how this caused any issue, particularly since they had her dress size. They also suggested that dress availability was limited because my 5’7” mum is “extra tall,” which I find comical.
We were also informed, “It's not about looking; you want to buy, leave with a dress, not just try things.” It felt like a significant inconvenience that we were browsing, and my mum was not decided on anything.
This should be a magical experience in preparation for a very special day. I urge you to explore other stores, as what we encountered there was not the enchantment we had hoped for at Lady G.
I anticipate they will challenge my claims, hence this detailed review. I’m sure I haven’t covered all the points they might raise and anticipate a lengthy, defensive response akin to the one I previously received.

Make sure to inspect your outfit before you leave the store. I had a wonderful experience purchasing my attire for my eldest daughter's wedding back in 2016, so I decided to return for my younger daughter's wedding. The staff is absolutely brilliant, however, when I bought my outfit last Thursday and took it to a seamstress the following Tuesday for alterations, I was disheartened to discover a small pull in the dress. When I reached out to the store, they essentially told me that since I had already left the premises, it was my responsibility and they would not allow an exchange, even though the outfit had not been removed from the bag since leaving the shop. I am incredibly disappointed with their response and informed them that I will not be recommending their services to anyone in the future and will also leave a negative review, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. I can't express enough how let down I feel – now I'll have to find another outfit elsewhere.
