My first time shopping for the Mother of the Groom was quite disappointing at this store. The experience left much to be desired as they never inquired about the type of dress I was seeking. They simply focused on getting my size first before showing me dresses. The initial dress I tried on seemed more suited for an older mother, whereas I am in my 40s. Despite expressing that it wasn't to my taste, the attendant insisted that I looked beautiful in it. I had two family members accompanying me for assistance, but each time they picked a dress, the attendant dismissed it, claiming it wouldn't suit me or that I wouldn't like it. It was perplexing how she presumed to know my preferences better than my own family.
When I showed her a dress that I adored, she mentioned that it was from last season, yet their Facebook page indicated it had just arrived in February 2025, and I visited at the month's end. Furthermore, I felt like with every dress I tried on, the attendant was solely focused on making a sale, regardless of whether the dress actually complemented me. This pressure sales tactic was off-putting.
I paid £20 for the appointment and was informed that it would be deducted from the dress purchase, but since I didn't find a suitable dress, I didn't receive a refund either. Perhaps it was just an off day for the store, but I don't feel inclined to return in a hurry.

I recently acquired a Maggie Sottero bridal gown, a cathedral-length veil, and a Swarovski tiara from this establishment, and I must admit that I was taken aback by the level of service. My gown arrived a whole 6 months earlier than expected, and the staff seemed quite surprised when I expressed my concerns about having it so far in advance. Instead of offering reassurance, their main focus was on collecting the outstanding payment, which left me feeling uneasy. It appeared to me that they were in a rush to secure my money, rather than providing the support and attention I needed. Given the significant investment I made in my order, I believe they should have handled the situation with more care. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this place even to my worst enemy! It might be wiser to consider purchasing from the authorized stockist located in the heart of Glasgow city.
