I'm relatively new to the fish keeping world, but I must say I've been truly impressed with these folks.
First and foremost, the well-being of the fish is their top priority. They asked thorough questions and performed water tests before letting me take any fish home. This was incredibly helpful as my tank hadn't fully cycled yet, even though the test strips weren't showing any ammonia levels. They provided me with advice on how to improve the water conditions.
I have never seen fish that look better or healthier. I decided on a Betta whose colors and fins are absolutely stunning. I have received numerous compliments on how well-maintained the fish is.
Their customer service skills were outstanding. I had my six-year-old daughter with me, who was a bit disappointed when we realized the water wasn't quite ready. They engaged with my daughter and explained the situation. They reserved the fish and put her name on the tank. We made several trips to the shop because they were so accommodating.
Personally, I find the cost of their fish very reasonable considering the high quality of the fish you get along with their time and advice. You never feel rushed, and they are always willing to help.
It feels more like a family-owned shop with a lot of experience and care, not just a money-making machine like the more mainstream chain stores.

Riverside has been absolutely fantastic, I must say! I couldn't find a single fault with these chaps. They are always incredibly friendly and wonderfully welcoming. Every person there is extremely knowledgeable and willing to share all their wisdom and assistance in any way possible. We've purchased top-notch fish, shrimps, and snails from this establishment. I currently have two beautiful male bettas (each in their own tank) and I've never encountered any issues with these fish. The team has aided us in setting up all our tanks, providing advice on substrate, plants, rocks, wood, filtration, and lighting. There's always a fantastic variety of fish available, the selection of tanks is consistently outstanding, and there are accessories galore. These folks have never pressured us into making a purchase; in fact, they have advised us on more efficient ways to handle things on several occasions and have always had our best interests at heart. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned aquarist, I cannot recommend Riverside enough!

They refuse to sell me anything until my tank is fully prepared. This is fantastic. As a newcomer, I initially wanted to purchase everything at once. However, they have guided me from the beginning. I cannot compliment them enough. They have actually turned me away, advising me to return only when my setup is fully prepared.

The store is well-stocked; however, I did notice that two of the plants I purchased were missing labels. Nonetheless, I was aware that their latest delivery had just arrived. This place is absolutely buzzing! They've got such an amazing array of fish to choose from. The team there are just top-notch - super helpful and really know their stuff. And let me tell you, those fish tanks are spotless! It's all housed within a garden centre that even has a cafe on the premises.
