I had a fabulous experience shopping at Heritage Boutique for my bridal gown. Julie, the owner, made me feel at ease during my first appointment, which helped calm my nerves.
Despite being a small boutique, they have a wide selection of dresses at amazingly affordable prices. I was pleasantly surprised to find that none of the dresses I tried on were over £900, even though some originally had price tags over £3000.
At my first visit, I found "the one" - a flawless and perfect dress that I fell in love with.
Additionally, we brought my wonderful aunt along for her own dress search. She has autism and had been struggling to find the right dress. Julie was exceptional in making her feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the process. Both my aunt and I left the boutique feeling ecstatic about our dress choices.
Julie is just a gem. I tried on every dress in the shop and she never once made a face! She truly has the patience of a saint. I came in with a limited budget and she went out of her way to help us out. Her collection is fabulous, in pristine condition (no torn or ripped dresses like some other shops in Aberdeen), and you'll have plenty of options to choose from. She made me feel like a princess and I had a wonderful time throughout the whole process! I'm so happy I decided to get my dress from this shop. I would absolutely recommend her to all brides-to-be!
I had to go to my bridal dress fitting alone because of Covid. Julie made me feel so comfortable right from the start! She had a great eye for what would look good on me and showed me some stunning dresses. I found my perfect dress and was able to take it home on the same day. I'm so excited to wear it on my wedding day!

It was my initial bridal appointment and Kim was incredibly helpful, guiding me through a variety of dress styles to help pinpoint my desired look. She also provided detailed explanations on possible alterations to enhance the modesty of a dress (which was crucial for me).
Kim displayed remarkable patience as we sifted through numerous dresses and she was genuinely eager to assist, never pressuring me to make a purchase. The fact that this boutique is consignment-based is fantastic, as they offer a diverse selection of gowns from various designers, providing truly charming choices.
Although I didn't find my dream dress here, Kim certainly helped me narrow down my preferences and the level of service was exceptional. My companions and I had a delightful time, and I wholeheartedly recommend this boutique!
I recently bought a 'off the rack sample Rebecca Ingram wedding dress' from Heritage in June 2023. Upon bringing the dress for alterations, I discovered that it had previously been altered, and not by a professional - there were obvious signs of poorly done hand stitching and the dress was dirty. I must confess I should have been more vigilant when making the purchase, but I didn't know what to look out for and mistakenly trusted the store. When I tried to address the issue with the store to find a solution, I was met with unsatisfactory responses. Now, I have to incur additional costs for alterations that weren't initially needed for fitting but to rectify the previous subpar alterations done.
Heritage has not taken responsibility for the misleading sale of the dress. If I had been informed that the dress was second-hand, I would probably still have gone ahead with the purchase. When I expressed my intention to leave a negative review, I was informed that the store needed to consult with the seller before providing a response, which to me confirms the dress is indeed second-hand. This situation should not be blamed on the seller either - the store evidently did not conduct a thorough inspection of the dress before offering it for resale.
While my experience at the time of purchasing the dress was positive, I am disheartened by how things have unfolded.
The staff here is so lovely and professional. They provide such an amazing service for brides-to-be. I would absolutely suggest popping in for a visit and having a chat with Julie.

The selection is limited to what they have in stock on any given day, as they specialize in secondhand and sample dresses. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise, allowing me to snag a stunning gown at a fraction of the cost of buying new. Plus, I got to take it home with me right then and there, avoiding those agonizing months of waiting for a custom order to arrive. A real lifesaver!

Julie took my wedding dress to sell after I changed my mind and purchased a new one. It has been 6 years now, and I still have not received payment or the dress back. All my messages have been ignored or met with excuses. £350 seems to have vanished into thin air. It looks like it's time for me to seek legal advice.
