I had the most enchanting experience at Brides in the City while selecting my dress. My stylist, Catelyn, is simply phenomenal at her craft! She was so attentive, kind, and genuine. The service was top-notch. My family even remarked it was the finest service they've ever received at a bridal boutique.
Catelyn was incredibly patient, and no request was too much trouble. She presented us with numerous options for dresses, veils, accessories, etc., and provided excellent advice on customizing my dress (which was something I was keen on doing!) Upon saying yes, I received a lovely gift bag with goodies, which was a delightful touch.
The boutique itself is exquisite and very aesthetically pleasing. There are hundreds of stunning dresses to suit every shape, size, preference, and requirement. The staff members are all delightful, and there is absolutely no pressure or pushiness. I am already eagerly looking forward to returning when my dress is ready. The ladies at Brides in the City have truly outdone themselves once again! 😍 I found my dream dress last September with the wonderful help of Vicky. Fast forward to yesterday when I finally got to take my absolutely STUNNING dress home and try it on for the first time, with my gran present to see🥲. I popped in twice to this lovely bridal shop and had the most fabulous time on both occasions. Even though I didn't find THE dress, I was truly taken aback by the stunning selection they had on display. What caught my eye was the option to customize the dresses right there as they are all meticulously designed in-house. The staff, bless their hearts, were just the sweetest and patient beyond belief. I recently popped into Brides in the City to find my dream dress, and boy did I find it! The team there is just so lovely and full of enthusiasm, which really helps you feel at ease. They welcomed us with prosecco, which they kindly kept topping up throughout our appointment. What a treat! I popped into Brides in the City on a whim as they welcomed walk-ins and I wanted to browse different wedding dress styles as I began considering options. Little did I know that I would discover my dream gown that very day!
The staff was incredibly charming and knowledgeable. They recommended various styles, some unexpected choices, and accessories to visualize how everything would come together on the big day.
We saved one of the more adventurous choices for last, which ended up being the one for me. However, there was absolutely no pressure to make a purchase that day. I decided to step out for lunch to collect my thoughts. When I returned later in the day to confirm my decision, the excitement on the staff's faces was palpable. They allowed me to try on the dress once more, creating a truly magical experience.
Months later, when I returned to pick up my gown, I had the opportunity to try it on again. I ended up also purchasing the veil they had recommended.
The entire journey put me at ease, and I felt absolutely stunning and confident on my wedding day!

I was super nervous about finding my dream wedding dress as a plus-size bride. It can be daunting to face yourself in the mirror and see all your imperfections. However, the ladies at Brides in the City made me feel comfortable and relaxed right from the start. Their genuine support and compliments were evident.
I had the wonderful Caitlyn assisting me, and she was absolutely amazing. Her bubbly, kind, and empathetic nature immediately put me at ease and got me excited to try on dresses. She was attentive not only to me but also to my maid of honour. When I picked up my dress, she was so kind to my other family members, taking her time and letting me stay in the dress as long as I wanted. She encouraged me to walk around and sit in the dress to ensure it was comfortable.
As an alternative bride, being plus size and wanting a black dress made me think it would be impossible. So when I found my dress, I was completely shocked. I fell in love with it instantly. I only made one change, opting to have my straps off the shoulder, and I felt incredibly beautiful in my dress. The team even rushed to order and deliver my underskirt on short notice for my alterations. I cannot recommend Brides in the City highly enough. They are the only ones I would recommend to anyone looking for their dress.

Sarah, the lovely lady who assisted me in finding my dream dress, was an absolute gem. She was not only extremely helpful but also made the whole experience very enjoyable. After a previous bad encounter at another store, Sarah was like a breath of fresh air. She made the appointment fun and full of laughter, truly listening to my preferences and asking insightful questions about fabrics and how I felt in each gown.
She even had the patience to entertain my mum's ideas and suggestions. At one point, we tried on two dresses simultaneously to mix and match different parts we liked. In the end, I found my perfect dress and decided to incorporate a button detail from another gown that caught my eye.
I cannot recommend this bridal shop enough! The dresses are stunning, and the process of finding THE dress was both seamless and enjoyable. And the fact that they offer customization services is just the cherry on top!
