It's not the most horrendous place, but it's not top-notch either. During the week, it costs £6.95. They used to offer the little ones a juice and some biscuits, but this was discontinued on weekends and during the summer holidays. It's best to bring your own lunch, as the menu is quite pricey for children.
Brian James (06/08/2025, 12:25):
Absolutely loved it! This children's amusement center is fantastic with its three levels packed full of activities. The food was top-notch as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out. Cheers!
Matthew Price (05/08/2025, 10:25):
Absolutely fantastic multilevel play area for the little ones. Plenty of seating all around for us grown-ups, top-notch food, and impeccable service. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Lucy Gonzalez (05/08/2025, 08:20):
I took my grandkids to the children's amusement center, and one of them has a food allergy. The staff was absolutely fantastic in making sure we had a safe and enjoyable lunch experience. They really went the extra mile to accommodate us, and we are so grateful for their attention to detail and care for our family.
Brandon Turner (03/08/2025, 06:40):
I must say, not impressed at all with the children's amusement center. The entry fee was quite steep, and even though we were one of the first ones there, the tables were sticky. The prices for food and drinks were way too high compared to other places. Can you believe they charged me 70p just for a shot of syrup in my coffee? Needless to say, we won't be returning anytime soon.

Just popped by today with my 4 year old grandson and hubby, the website said £6 for the little one with 1 adult free and £1 for any extra adult, so it should have been £7 in total. However, they charged me £12. What a rip off!
Layla Ortiz (30/07/2025, 11:00):
A jolly good spot to bring the little ones. We're holidaying in Ayr and paid a visit to Pirate Pete's - what a blast we had! It's quite reasonable and truly worth every penny. I wholeheartedly endorse it.
Keith Hamilton (29/07/2025, 07:36):
Lovely little spot for the wee ones to have a grand time and for the adults to relax with some good grub. Plenty of disabled parking available and convenient toilet facilities.
Teresa Brooks (26/07/2025, 11:32):
A jolly good time for all! The staff were absolutely fantastic.
Scott Johnson (22/07/2025, 14:23):
This children's amusement center is a jolly good spot for a spot of tea or nibbles. The staff are ever so helpful and friendly, and the place is tidy with plenty of room for enjoying some treats. Will surely pop in again soon! Cheers!
Ava Perry (22/07/2025, 09:13):
I was pleasantly surprised by this soft play center. The play area was larger and more elaborate than I had imagined, which was fantastic. However, the only downside to the experience was the food quality. Given that this center caters primarily to children, I believe there should be healthier meal options available (most of the choices seemed to be deep-fried). Additionally, the pricing of the food was a bit high for what was offered. Despite this, I was still impressed by the overall experience at this place.
Laura Rogers (21/07/2025, 03:47):
Absolutely brilliant for the little ones (and not-so-grumpy parents too). There's an abundance of entertainment to keep your children gleeful for hours. The menu offers a wide variety of options to suit most tastes. It can get pretty bustling in here, but fret not as there are ample tables and chairs both on the ground floor and first level. Public restroom facilities are available for customers. Plenty of parking spaces, including those designated for disabled visitors. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. Just a friendly heads-up, they have some pesky arcade machines that may just hijack your afternoon (But please, Mummy, just one more round!).
Mia Gutierrez (20/07/2025, 05:36):
Lovely playground, absolutely adore the play equipment they have on offer. The food is delightful and quite affordable too. Oh, my lad wandered off for a bit, but no worries, I've got three more little rascals to keep an eye on. Cheers to a jolly good time!
Daniel Cooper (17/07/2025, 12:07):
I wouldn't give it a single star, mate. My little lass got her dosh jammed in one of them machines, and the bloke they sent over to sort it out had a right rude attitude, like it was a massive bother for him. The nosh was well pricey and I couldn't even stomach it, proper rank. A fiver and change for a portion of chips and gravy that was practically swimming in grease.
Nancy Graham (16/07/2025, 23:00):
The little ones absolutely adored this place during our holiday, so much so that we decided to visit again a few days later. The prices were quite fair, even for food and beverages. The food is simply outstanding, and the soft play area is impeccable!
Kelly Torres (16/07/2025, 06:22):
I recall from my time growing up in Scotland that Pirete Petes was a true gem whenever I ventured to Ayr, for there was plenty of entertainment to be had and I appreciated the multiple levels of play. Additionally, they hold adult laser tag sessions, and the cuisine on offer is truly delightful. It's a fantastic establishment, and I am pleased that it endures. I do believe it even functioned as a nightclub at one stage.
Nathan Johnson (15/07/2025, 04:55):
I can't believe the cheek of it! The prices shot up from £6.95 for 2 hours to a whopping £11 just because the schools are on holiday. It's an absolute rip off, I tell you. I won't be returning with any of my grandwains, all five of them.
Cheryl Cook (13/07/2025, 20:22):
‘Scoopalicious’ next door is actually part of Pirate Pete's, mate. The prices there are a bit steep, I must say, and they don't make it very obvious on the door when you go in. It's £6 for two scoops, but if you fancy a better deal, you can just stroll around the corner to Renaldo's and get two delicious, much larger, homemade scoops of ice cream for under £4.50. Cheers!
Ella Perez (04/07/2025, 14:59):
During our holiday, we paid a visit to this place. It was bustling but absolutely splendid. The staff were incredibly affable, the food was delightful, and the little ones thoroughly enjoyed the soft play area! I would highly recommend it and can't wait to go back.
Patrick Gray (02/07/2025, 23:32):
My 5-year-old daughter absolutely adores this place. We make a point of visiting every six weeks when we're in Ayr. We tend to drop by on Sunday mornings when it's calmer, and my wife and I grab some breakfast while our little one has a blast playing. Surprisingly, the food is pretty good for a soft play venue. The entry fee is reasonable for two hours of playtime. The food prices are slightly on the higher side, but not unreasonable. I highly recommend trying the French toast with bacon and maple syrup - it may not be the healthiest choice, but it's definitely worth the indulgence.
