Had a jolly good time at the department store today, I must say. Placed an order for an item online late last night, and lo and behold, it was ready for collection bright and early this morning. The store was ever so well-organized, with a keen eye on safety measures, all while maintaining a warm and helpful atmosphere. Top-notch experience overall!

🚨WARNING WARNING WARNING 🚨 Yesterday was a lovely day in Scotland, so we decided to purchase a swimming pool from this department store for £100. We brought it home, opened it up, and discovered that the entire swimming pool was covered in dirt and mud and was missing parts (filter, cover, plugs). We returned to the store where the lady was apologetic and mentioned she remembered us from earlier. She went to get the so-called store manager, EMMA (capital letters to highlight who to avoid in this store), who came out like the incredible Hulk, ready for conflict. EMMA proceeded to tell us that they did not sell us the swimming pool in that condition based on their camera footage and refused to help us, essentially calling me a liar despite purchasing the pool just an hour prior with witnesses. I will be contacting trading standards as one expects a new item to be just that—new. I recommended they keep the swimming pool as syphilis would be the least of my concerns if I were to use it. I will be escalating this matter further and advise others to inspect items before leaving the store or to simply avoid this establishment altogether. 🚨AVOID dealing with EMMA 🚨 as she is highly unprofessional and rude, unfit for customer-facing roles.

Well, it seems like this Liz hasn't made any progress in the past 6 months according to the previous comment. Her attitude is very poor and she acts as if she knows everything. She dismissed my concerns about my faulty items after only trying them for 2 minutes. On the contrary, the other girls working there are very pleasant. I just realized a comment from four years ago mentioning her similar behavior. It's puzzling why she is still employed there, I don't understand!

Went into the shop to pick up my order.

I waited in the line to the left of the store where you usually provide your reference number and then are directed to the collection area.

However, this time was different - I waited and waited, feeling a bit foolish, as the staff were chatting away at the collection point without anyone bothering to inform or assist me that the collection point had now been combined with the counter.

After some time, I figured out that I needed to go to the collection point myself. At that point, one staff member had a smug look on his face from behind the counter while his colleague helped me retrieve my item.

Disappointing service, Argos. You've just lost a customer. Well done.
