This farm shop, butcher, cafe, and steak barn is a hidden gem located just outside St Andrews in the picturesque Kingdom of Fife. Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a delicious dinner, this farm-to-table restaurant has it all. The beautifully situated establishment offers ample parking space and a charming ambiance.

Although there may be a short wait for a table, the wait is definitely worth it. Their freshly prepared soup, crusty bread, and aromatic coffee are among my favorites. And don't even get me started on the indulgent desserts – they are a true delight!

The team of talented chefs prides themselves on using locally sourced ingredients, including produce grown and reared right on the farm. This commitment to fresh, high-quality food truly shines through in every dish. Despite the upscale feel of the place, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.

If you find yourself in St Andrews, I highly recommend paying a visit to this farm shop. You won't be disappointed!

One of the most amazing spots I’ve ever visited. The market is fantastic and offers great value for money. The breakfast café is top-notch, serving up delicious black pudding, scotch eggs, eggs, sausage rolls, and smoked salmon. Highly recommended!

What a lovely farm shop with a charming cafe in a picturesque setting. The meat and poultry display is truly impressive, and the fresh cheeses and breads are top-notch. They offer a fantastic selection of local produce. However, I was a bit disappointed by the steep prices on Scottish beers and gins, as you can easily find them for much cheaper at your nearby supermarket.
Adam Ortiz (14/06/2025, 09:07):
Absolutely marvellous selection of fresh, top-notch produce. They also have a fabulous range of gifts, books, and wines. An absolute gem for stocking up on groceries, cheeses, and so much more!

Recently attended a beef butchery masterclass with Kevin at the farm shop. It was a brilliant experience, and Kevin was a fantastic instructor, brimming with expertise! It was fascinating to gain insight into the process behind our food production. Plus, they gave us a generous goody bag as well!
Andrew Carter (13/06/2025, 06:44):

The cafe was just brilliant, I must say! I indulged in a proper ploughman's salad and a delightful hot chocolate that were absolutely scrumptious. And browsing through the store connected to the cafe was a lovely experience as well. Cheers to a fantastic visit!

I must say, the breakfast was lovely, but it was missing the beans. In my humble opinion, a proper cooked breakfast ought to include some beans!
Charlotte Perry (07/06/2025, 03:05):
I be poppin' in all the time, mate. The butcher's top-notch, them steak pies are proper lovely. The farm shop's got a right good range of grub. The cafe's cozy with tasty nosh, and the steak barn serves up quality chow too. Can't fault the staff, they're all proper lovely.
Ethan Torres (06/06/2025, 07:56):
My recent visit to the Farm shop was delightful! I popped in for a spot of lunch and couldn't resist grabbing some scrumptious cheese and bread from their food store. The restaurant staff were simply marvelous - friendly, efficient, and very helpful. Our meals were served promptly, piping hot, and absolutely delicious!

A special shoutout to Heather, who took care of us at table 15. She embodied all the qualities I mentioned earlier, but with such flair that we felt like valued guests. Thank you, Heather, for your outstanding service - Balgove is lucky to have you on their team.

Will I be returning? Without a doubt! Thank you, Balgove, for a wonderful experience!👍😉
Christine Garcia (02/06/2025, 08:32):
The farm shop is a tad out of the way, so having wheels is a must for the journey. It's not the easiest spot to reach via public transport, mind you. The folks working there are real friendly and the nosh is top-notch – the steak especially hits the spot. When I swung by in January 2025, the heating was doing its job just fine. The vibe of the place is solid, and they've got a decent selection of beers to boot. The facilities, like the loo, are clean as a whistle. Now, the prices might be a bit on the high side, but the meal we had was well worth it.
Jose Nguyen (31/05/2025, 19:07):
The individual steak and gravy pies were absolutely smashing, and the lamb shanks were simply massive! Cheers to a delightful meal at the Farm shop.
Willie Reyes (30/05/2025, 21:41):
Yummy grub at reasonable prices, and the spot is top-notch!
Catherine Wright (30/05/2025, 08:04):
Lovely grub, had to wait a tad but well worth the wait for sure
