Lovely little spot, my lad and the pup had a grand time at the beach, and we were able to enjoy our takeout fish & chips by the seaside. Could use a few more public benches though, wouldn't ye say? Cheers!

Lovely scenery, charming boutiques, and loads of dining spots where you can relax with an ice-cold treat.

Charming coastal village, stumbled upon a delightful little tearoom, not many activities by the pier besides dining spots. Perfect for a pleasant day trip when visiting the area.

Oh, what a lovely time we had back in the 1970s when a few new folks brought tourism to our beloved Fishing Pier. However, the harbormaster who's been around for quite some time does not seem very friendly. The boat owners also don't seem too keen on us harbor walkers, although some locals with their furry friends are welcomed. About ten years ago, security fences were put up around the yacht berths, creating a bit of a divide. On warm days, many locals gather, but they're not exactly the friendliest bunch. Perhaps it's best to stay in St Andrews instead.

What a fantastic spot to drop by! The seafront has a lovely wintery/autumnal vibe going on, perfect for a stroll along the harbour. Wheelchair accessibility is top-notch, and you can check out some photos below. Be sure to give it a thumbs up! And don't miss out on the award-winning eatery, The Wee Chippy, right by the water. The food is simply outstanding, and the prices are quite reasonable. They also serve up some great coffee. Keep in mind that parking at the harbour is reserved for staff only, and public toilets are open until around 8pm.

Beautiful sunny day showcasing the harbor at its finest. The tranquil sea and numerous diverse boats docked in the protection of the quays, including pleasure and working boats. Excursions to the Isle of May are still operating. A picturesque location indeed.
Evelyn Morgan (12/07/2025, 02:09):
What a lovely harbor with great local amenities. Just across from the harbor, there's this incredible fish and chip shop that you must try. And don't miss the shop nearby with a fantastic selection of ice cream flavors.

Anstruther is a bonnie wee town with fantastic grub and a bonnie picturesque harbour. Many coastal spots in Scotland are now swarming with rather feisty seagulls, but this is one of the rare spots where you can still tuck into your fish supper or enjoy an ice cream without any bother.

You'll find shops lining the harbour front selling everything from victuals to handmade arts and crafts.

Overall, it's a braw friendly spot to spend some time.

Absolutely smashing spot for a bit of a gander. Loads of top-notch nosh spots around. And don't forget to take a jaunt around town, there's plenty to keep you entertained. The locals are a friendly bunch, and there's a right treasure trove of interesting places to explore. Cheers!
Kyle Rogers (08/07/2025, 21:55):
What a charming harbor, but it seems to be getting quite crowded with tourists already. And don't get me started on the chip shop - it's just not the same as it used to be!
Brittany Lewis (08/07/2025, 19:06):
What a lovely spot, with such friendly folks and a delightful day spent angling by the pier.
Roger Miller (06/07/2025, 22:48):
I strolled through this quaint village on the weekend. It's a charming place with amiable locals, delightful fish and chip shops for those so inclined, and splendid coastal paths for leisurely walks. On a sunny day, the atmosphere is truly laid-back and enjoyable. ☺️

Lovely little village with the added treat of the most scrumptious fish supper around, without a doubt.

Lovely little east coast village, we always enjoy taking a jaunt over in the car every couple of months. There are some cracking chip shops here to grab a bite to eat, they're all top-notch.

Charming and functional fishing port with ample parking spaces. I would've extended my visit, but the wind was dreadful. Perhaps they ought to address that. 😃...
Peter King (30/06/2025, 07:29):
Such a charming harbor and quaint little village, the fish and chips were absolutely delightful, and the staff at the small chip shop were just lovely. The gentleman at the whiskey shop was also quite pleasant. Overall, had a splendid day out in this picturesque place.
