What an amazing selection of plants, shrubs, and trees.
Compost, planters, hanging baskets, and everything you need to line and fill them as well.
And let's not overlook the on-site café. Definitely worth a visit.

We popped in for a spot of brekkie at their cafe. Top notch range on offer at just the right price. I went for the full breakfast, which set me back 9.99.
You can place your order either with the server or through their nifty QR code system. Cheers!

I tend to frequent this garden center for breakfast quite often. The staff are really helpful and the cafe is just delightful, offering a great selection. I particularly appreciate the dog-friendly section of the cafe, where they even have treats available for our furry friends.

This garden center is a marvelous spot to explore for all your gardening needs and beyond. From plants to gardening tools, clothing, gifts, and more, they've got you covered. The restaurant is an absolute gem that you simply can't miss. The food is flavorful, freshly prepared, and lovingly made right on the premises. Plus, the exceptional table service is a delightful touch. And for those with furry friends, they even have a special section in the restaurant where you and your dog can enjoy a meal together.

Great selection of plants and very helpful staff. The café also offers delicious food.

What a lovely garden center and charming cafe! The staff here are absolutely delightful and always ready to lend a hand. And the best part is, it's dog-friendly too! Oh, and make sure you grab yourself a poinsettia before you leave. They truly are the finest you'll find anywhere around here.
Walter Ortiz (25/07/2025, 12:12):
I recently enjoyed a lovely lunch at this bustling garden center. Opted for the lunch special and added an extra £1.30 for the delicious Cullen skink soup – totally worth it. The coronation chicken sandwich I had was also top-notch. In the end, I paid £9.25, plus the additional £1.30 for the soup. Great value for a satisfying meal!
Roger Evans (21/07/2025, 22:24):
Reviewing the Garden Center Cafe. Upon our arrival, we were informed that the only available table was in the crowded dog area, which was not ideal for our afternoon tea setting. Politely requesting a different seating arrangement, the waitress led us to a section with plenty of tables free from canines. These tables had just been cleaned and were still wet, indicating that the issue lay more in the cleaning schedule rather than table availability.
Opting to place our order through the cafe's app proved to be slightly challenging, as it was not the most user-friendly interface and did not support Apple Pay, requiring manual input of card details. Furthermore, the app frequently displayed error messages, suggesting programming issues.
Our food arrived and while it was satisfactory, it did not exceed expectations. However, it arrived without any cutlery, not even a teaspoon for stirring my tea. When we requested cutlery from the waitress, we were directed to grab our own from a nearby station. Perhaps opting for table service would result in better attention.
In conclusion, the food was decent, but the service left much to be desired due to what appeared to be a lackadaisical attitude. It is uncertain whether we will choose to return in the future.

I must say, I was quite disappointed with the limited variety of fruit trees available. It's a pity when there's more space dedicated to selling mass-produced items rather than high-quality plants, even in independent garden centers. Despite coming here based on a recommendation from another local nursery, I ended up leaving without making a purchase.
Charlotte Turner (20/07/2025, 23:32):
Filled with gorgeous plants that will spark your imagination for creating a lush garden or a cozy oasis. They offer a great selection of indoor plants, planters, and decorative garden ornaments. I was impressed by their seasonal plant groupings and the ample stock available for thoughtful planning before purchasing.
Don't miss out on their delightful tea room, where you can enjoy scrumptious cakes with thin pastry and generous fillings that will leave you wanting more. It's no wonder it's a favorite spot among visitors.
And make sure to register for their complimentary loyalty card to earn points and receive a 10% discount on plant purchases. It's a fantastic deal that adds extra value to your shopping experience at the garden center.

A delightful sanctuary of tranquility just on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
The plants are impeccably tended to, and the staff is consistently warm and welcoming. I've never had trouble finding exactly what I need here for my garden or indoor plant care.
The café is top-notch - they serve up delicious coffee and cakes, as well as heartier meals. The quality of the food is exceptional (and the portions are quite generous!), all at reasonable prices, plus there's a spot that welcomes furry companions.
Despite residing outside of Edinburgh, I find myself returning time and time again, and I have no doubt I will continue to do so in the future.

Whenever I head back to Edinburgh to visit my family, we always make a stop at Pentland Plants. We love to wander around, pick out some plants, and enjoy a bite at the cafe. My last visit was on December 30th, when I popped in to grab some gifts for my friends down here in the South East of England. As I was checking out, the lady at the counter surprised me with a complimentary poinsettia. I was so touched by the gesture and expressed my gratitude. Fast forward to April 6th, and that poinsettia is still thriving beautifully. It serves as a lovely reminder of the kindness shown to me. Thank you to the team at Pentland Plants!

So we thought we'd drop by the cafe this morning for a spot of breakfast. It's been ages since our last visit. Quite a transformation it's undergone. You can now opt for table service or place your order online. The food was absolutely delightful, as was the coffee. What a fantastic upgrade with no more waiting in lines. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. Funny enough, we were just there shopping for plants last week. I wish we had swung by the cafe as well.
Julie Scott (18/07/2025, 16:09):
What a nightmare shopping with my partner at the garden center, she always manages to find something to buy! I end up broke every time 😂 On the bright side, the restaurant there is lovely with delicious food and amazing staff. Plus, it's dog-friendly too! 😃
Emily Barnes (17/07/2025, 19:52):
I must say, I am absolutely smitten with this charming little garden center! The plants are impeccably cared for, and I particularly appreciate the diverse range of bedding plants they offer. I've discovered some unique species here that I haven't come across anywhere else, and they continue to thrive in my garden years later (my bleeding heart plant holds a special place in my heart). They also have a wonderful selection of seeds for growing, as well as gifts, pet supplies, and items for attracting wildlife.
I have reached out to the shop on several occasions for assistance, whether it be for their doggy photo shoots, Easter events featuring lambs, or other queries, and the owner has always responded to me with the utmost patience and kindness. Considering how busy she must be, I am truly impressed by the time and care she puts into her responses. Where else can you find such personalized attention?
I would love to see a more eclectic selection of orchids, as it mainly seems to be Phalaenopsis these days. Additionally, workshops focusing on plant health would be a fantastic addition to their offerings.

A down-to-earth garden center with top-notch guidance. Plus, a lovely little cafe to boot!
Keith Kim (12/07/2025, 10:51):
Lovely spot, a tad dear for certain items, but quite reasonable for others.
Edward Richardson (09/07/2025, 20:22):
This garden center eatery is absolutely delightful. It's quite a surprise to find such a gem tucked away in the back of a garden center.
They serve up delicious homemade baked treats, freshly prepared lunch dishes, sandwiches, and an array of breakfast options available all day.
It can get rather bustling during the lunch rush, but it's definitely worth the potential wait.
I highly recommend trying the Stornaway Black Pudding Salad with raspberry dressing and poached egg - a true winner in my book.
Lucy Young (08/07/2025, 20:21):
A lovely selection of high-quality plants, bulbs, seeds, tools, and a variety of gardening accessories. Run by a friendly family, making it a delightful place to shop for all your garden needs.
Ella Bennett (08/07/2025, 06:33):
Outstanding service and personnel at the cafe. Incredibly helpful and amiable. The cuisine was superb as per usual. It's fantastic to have the convenience of ordering online through the app directly at your table.
