Not too bad overall. I accidentally left my bank card at the checkout. When I came back the next day, they had kept it safe for me. The selection of European products may not be as great as Lidl's, but there's not much to grumble about.

A rather distressing policy.
I recently experienced Aldi's new 'random' bag check policy firsthand.
I've never felt so affronted by a cashier before, but I suppose there's a first time for everything.
After perusing some accounts online, it seems that the staff may not be entirely thrilled about carrying out these checks. While I support efforts to prevent theft, the random and seemingly begrudging nature of these checks results in the customer ahead of you not being asked to 'lift their bag to check for contents', while you are singled out... Quite humiliating, really.
If they wish to uphold such a policy, it should apply to all or none. Randomly selecting customers sends the message that you are being singled out as 'suspicious'.
I honestly doubt I will return due to this experience. I don't want to shop at a place where I might be 'randomly' chosen in front of other customers to prove my innocence.

If you're looking to save some pennies, this grocery store is the spot for you. It can get pretty crowded, but the staff do a top-notch job at keeping the queues moving. Despite the low prices, some items are surprisingly fantastic and taste even better than pricier alternatives from other shops.

The store has recently been spruced up with new energy-efficient fridges, which appear to have created more room for displaying products. They've also expanded their offerings for vegetarians and vegans. Great find for those on a tight budget!

I had a rather disappointing experience at the checkout. I only had a couple of items in my basket, yet there were 4 or 5 people in front of me with full carts. There was a shortage of staff at the register and no express checkout available. Not keen on waiting, so I ended up leaving my items and walking out. Hopefully, Aldi can improve their staffing situation, especially at the tills. I might have to think twice before returning.

The staff were really friendly when I popped in for a bit of food shopping. The car park is located around the back and can be a tad confusing to find if it's your first time visiting.

I must say, it's quite a pity with the current Virus situation. Folks are clearing out the shelves at the grocery stores. Aldi has had to limit the number of identical items one can purchase to 4. Nonetheless, the staff continues to provide excellent service, and they are doing their best to comfort customers during this challenging period.
