Throughout the years, I've had the pleasure of owning several Highlander tents, and each time, my camping experiences have been top-notch. The tents have always kept me cozy and well-protected from the elements, making for some comfortable sleeps under the stars. Impressed by the quality, I ventured into purchasing other Highlander products like camping stoves, which have never let me down in terms of reliability. Additionally, I've relied on a couple of Highlander rucksacks that were not only durable but also made carrying my gear a breeze. The customer service has consistently been exceptional, making this outdoor equipment shop highly recommended in my book.

This company, with Anders as the main point of contact, seems to go to great lengths to avoid refunding money. As evidenced by the screenshots I provided, they received my return on November 2nd. After not receiving a refund, I was forced to escalate the issue to PayPal (thank goodness for using that payment method), to which they failed to respond promptly and it had to be escalated further.
Upon contacting them again, Anders stated, "We were actually refunding yesterday but since you have raised a case to Paypal, we cannot refund as the amount had been locked by Paypal." This statement is inaccurate, as anyone familiar with PayPal knows that disputes can be swiftly resolved by issuing a refund. PayPal does not "lock" refunds; in fact, issuing a refund is often the quickest way to resolve a dispute for all parties involved. When I contacted PayPal, they informed me that the company instead claimed they have ten days to issue a refund according to their policy. If this were true, I would have received my refund before escalating the issue to PayPal. The company now asserts that they have ten days from the date I raised the dispute with PayPal, which is absurd.
It is disconcerting that such a large company would employ someone whose primary focus appears to be finding ways to avoid refunding customers, rather than upholding the business's integrity and reputation. I sincerely hope that delaying a £117 refund was worth the numerous negative reviews I have posted on various platforms.
I would advise those considering purchasing from this company to look elsewhere and spare themselves the hassle of dealing with Anders and his abysmal customer service.
Regarding their response claiming, "By doing so, your transaction was put on hold by PayPal. This prevented us processing your refund on 14th Nov, as we had to provide all documentation to Paypal, to assist their investigation," it is important to note that PayPal does not freeze transactions when a dispute is raised. I have personally been on the seller's side of a dispute, and can attest that a refund can be issued immediately to resolve the matter. PayPal only requests supporting documentation if there is an argument presented, which in this case was your claim that you had ten days to issue the refund.
Top-notch service all the way through and top-quality product. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
I must say, I've had a right bummer of an experience with this outdoor clothing and equipment shop. I was expecting top-notch customer service but instead, the receptionist left me high and dry. I ordered an item on the promise of next day delivery, only to still be waiting for it days later. Can you believe I placed my order on the 2nd of December? When I reached out for help, I was told they don't work on weekends. On the 4th, I was informed that my item was still sitting in the warehouse, and guess who got the blame? DPD, of course. I called again on the 5th, same story - stuck in the warehouse, and it was now blamed on both DPD and the festive season. And can you believe I gave them another chance by calling this morning, the 6th? You guessed it, still gathering dust in the warehouse. This kind of service is just laughable. At this point, I'm just hoping to get my refund soon.
I must say the customer service at Highlander Forces online is top-notch! I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they responded after I placed my order. It really made my shopping experience a breeze. Highly recommend them for all your outdoor clothing and equipment needs!
Just received two camping chairs from this outdoor equipment shop.
Upon arrival, I noticed they had a faint smoky smell, almost as if they had been near a campfire. Contacted the company about this issue, but they seemed puzzled as they have a policy against accepting used goods for returns.
Quite disappointed with this experience, and doubt I will be making another purchase from them.
I purchased a Highlander tent a couple of years back, and it had been stored away for some time. I recently took it out of the garage in preparation for using it this summer, only to discover that the poles had started to degrade and were beginning to split.
After reaching out to Highlander via email to inquire about purchasing replacement poles directly from the manufacturer, I was pleasantly surprised when Anders sent me new poles at no cost and arranged for next-day delivery.
I am absolutely amazed by this level of service! I couldn't be more pleased with the result!
I must say, I have only positive things to say about this company. I've purchased a few products from them - a one-man tent, a poncho-style jacket, and an inflatable mat - and all three are top-notch, 5-star items of excellent quality. Customer service is fantastic.
When it comes to purchasing outdoor gear, this is my go-to every time.
I recently placed an order for two rubber feet for my walking poles, and I also mentioned that I had lost a "basket" that screws onto the poles above the feet or ferrule. Despite not seeing these baskets advertised for sale, the team at the outdoor clothing and equipment shop kindly searched for one in their warehouse and sent it to me free of charge. I was truly impressed by their outstanding customer service.
