Exploring Tesco Extra in Bellshill

When it comes to supermarket offerings, Tesco Extra in Bellshill stands out as a go-to location for many shoppers. With a range of services and amenities, the store caters to various needs.

Accessibility Features

One major highlight of Tesco Extra is its wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance, making shopping convenient for all customers. The free parking lot provides ample space, ensuring easy access to the store. Additionally, the store offers wheelchair-accessible seating within its café area, although some visitors have raised concerns about cleanliness and service quality.

In-Store Experience

Shoppers can enjoy a variety of in-store shopping options, including access to groceries, clothing, and household items. The supermarket is well-stocked with great produce and features an on-site café that offers snacks and meals, though experiences vary, with some customers noting issues with food temperature and service speed. The checkout experience includes NFC mobile payments and acceptance of debit cards, enhancing convenience for those who prefer quick transactions. However, feedback suggests that longer queues during peak hours can be an issue, leading to suggestions for more open checkouts.

Sustainability Initiatives

Tesco Extra also engages in recycling practices, encouraging customers to minimize plastic usage by bringing their own bags or purchasing plastic bags when necessary. This initiative aligns with the growing demand for environmentally friendly shopping options.

Service Options and Customer Support

The store offers several service options, including in-store pick-up and Click & Collect services. Customers have noted instances of helpful staff, particularly with specific inquiries about products like electronics. However, criticisms have emerged regarding responses to customer service inquiries, suggesting improvements are needed in communication and support.

Community Feel and Inclusivity

Tesco Extra aims to foster a welcoming environment, advertising itself as an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment. However, some customers have reported experiences that contradicted this, calling for better training in customer interactions to ensure all patrons feel valued and respected.

Final Thoughts

While Tesco Extra in Bellshill provides a vast array of products and services, the customer experience can vary dramatically based on timing, staffing, and individual expectations. A quick visit can yield satisfactory results, but frustrations related to service and accessibility bring attention to areas needing improvement. Overall, it remains a valuable community resource with potential for enhancing its operations to meet the diverse needs of its shoppers.

Fabulous establishment with all the necessities at fantastic prices, I must say.
Ruth Graham (11/07/2025, 22:31):
This Tesco has quite the array of products, reminiscent of a large department store and supermarket rolled into one! However, it's not exactly a walk in the park, as grabbing just a few items can turn into a trek through the entire store. The layout isn't ideal either, especially for those on foot, as pedestrian access around the car park is far from convenient.

And if you ever fancy a pit stop at the cafe, think twice. The cafe experience leaves much to be desired, with lackluster staff and a disappointing food selection. It's a mystery why they bothered putting in a cafe, especially when it seems to be closed by 4 pm when many are heading back from college.
Stephen Collins (11/07/2025, 11:53):
Fantastic shop and petrol station. Prices are even more competitive when you have a Clubcard.
Rebecca King (09/07/2025, 10:40):
I just don't understand why they don't pre-slice the bread, or have someone available to do it for you whenever you need. There really ought to be at least one person in the supermarket who can assist with that.
Amanda Sullivan (08/07/2025, 04:40):
Parking is a breeze and the store always seems to have everything you're looking for.
Barbara Reynolds (07/07/2025, 14:00):
Decent selection of items. Prices are a tad steep for the quality, but you can find some bargains with Tesco's own brand products.
Douglas Bennett (06/07/2025, 11:24):
Perfect for your weekly grocery shopping or for those quick trips when you're in a hurry. They have self-checkout options and handheld scanners available as well.
Jason Watson (05/07/2025, 07:22):
This place is brilliant, it's got a bit of everything! I always find myself popping in here for my groceries, clothes, electricals, toys, and gifts. They even have a cafe, Timpsons for shoe repairs, and a currency exchange. The best part? Plenty of parking available, and they've even got a petrol station on-site. It's like a one-stop-shop for all your needs. Despite it being quite busy, the building is so spacious that it never feels overcrowded. Highly recommend!
Brenda Price (02/07/2025, 07:43):
Lovely bright store. Loads of parking spaces available. Great range of groceries, clothing, and home goods.
Adam Lee (01/07/2025, 11:50):
The typical overpriced groceries that one can easily purchase elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.
Karen Sanders (01/07/2025, 02:57):
I popped into the local Tesco the other day, and let me tell you, the scan as you shop feature is an absolute breeze to use. It's a real time-saver if you're looking to get in and out in a jiffy. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Bristol store has a fantastic optician section with a wide range of stylish glasses to choose from. Top-notch experience all around!
Brittany Ortiz (30/06/2025, 22:26):
This store is a bit dodgy, loads of potential accidents waiting to happen with all the trip hazards, and the stock levels are absolutely abysmal.
Marilyn Flores (28/06/2025, 12:57):
This store is massive, with a ton of room to move around. The selection of products is top-notch, too.
Bobby Robinson (26/06/2025, 10:10):
I've never had to queue here. It's a huge store that stocks items you won't find in smaller shops.
Mary Jackson (25/06/2025, 14:16):
Lovely selection of vegetarian options at Tesco, plus great discounts with Clubcard. Top-notch supermarket, I do rather fancy it.
Alice Graham (23/06/2025, 10:36):
I enjoy browsing for bargains and discounted tech items, I occasionally come across some decent finds.
Evelyn Lewis (19/06/2025, 16:02):
Absolutely swamped on a Friday at 2 pm!
Andrew Flores (19/06/2025, 00:30):
Great variety of products and food items. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, I would definitely consider returning for another shopping trip.
Alice Evans (14/06/2025, 03:00):
I visited the Supermarket at midnight on a Tuesday, as the website indicated it was open 24 hours. Contrary to what was stated online, the store was closed. It's advisable to steer clear if you intend to visit during late hours.
Allison Nelson (11/06/2025, 08:18):
I couldn't believe what I saw during my visit to Tesco Bellshill today. There was no paper for the sanitizing station, and this isn't the first time. Last week they were out of hand sanitizer (luckily I brought my own today). Shoppers were going the wrong way up and down the aisles, completely unaware of the safety measures in place. I tried to look in a freezer aisle only to realize it was actually the line for one checkout! It stretched from the top to the bottom of the aisle, making it impossible for customers to access what they needed. There was absolutely no 2 meters distance at all! Tesco claims to care for their customers...really... not today they didn't. I recommend that Tesco Bellshill reevaluate their supposed safety measures!
