Ye have 6 self-service checkouts, but sadly most of 'em don't take cash payments, so ye end up standin' in the second-class citizen line while folks payin' with cards who were behind ye in the queue saunter past to pay. Not a fan, I'll be headin' over to Morrison's just across the road where cash is welcome at all the checkouts...
Karen Richardson (07/07/2025, 12:39):
I perused some previous reviews right after my most recent visit. The self-service checkouts are absolutely disgraceful. A previous reviewer even shared photos. Regardless of the prices, this level of uncleanliness is utterly unacceptable and seems to have been an issue for some months now. Disgusting.
Samuel Kim (05/07/2025, 02:09):
Hand sanitizers are available at the entrance for your convenience. The selection of products is quite extensive, and you can find a wide range of items to choose from. Don't forget to check out the weekly discount coupons that are regularly posted on the mobile app for some great savings!

Today we visited the supermarket and were appalled by the state of the customer toilets. We spoke to the staff about it, and they informed us that the cleaner doesn't work on weekends. Honestly, you would have thought that the toilets hadn't been cleaned in a week. If that's the standard of cleanliness, we won't be returning. I even took photos on my phone to show the staff.
Chloe Nguyen (27/06/2025, 00:18):
I absolutely adore shopping at Lidl - the prices are fantastic and there's such a wide variety of products to choose from. Dealing with some health issues has meant that I've had to take things slowly, but their protein range is just what I needed. Now I can indulge in a decadent double chocolate pudding knowing it's also good for me. Massive kudos to Lidl for their efforts, and the staff are truly exceptional!
Amy Scott (26/06/2025, 17:42):
This store is a bit larger than the average one, so it carries a wider selection of products... you know, like those durable goods and tools that you never realized you needed until you laid eyes on them😀
Since it's a new establishment, they've got six self-service checkout stations... and believe me, they actually function better than those in other stores! Plus, the staff at the checkout counter seem to have both eyes and a brain.
Totally digging Lidl!
Judy Murphy (26/06/2025, 03:34):
I recently popped into this supermarket and was proper impressed by the cracking prices they had on a wide variety of products. When I compared them to other supermarkets nearby, this one always had lower prices on loads of items I was after, from fresh fruit and veg to pantry essentials. I also liked that they had regular deals and promos, which made it even more affordable to grab all my top picks. Even with the low prices, I didn't feel like I was skimping on quality, as the products were all top-notch and fresh. All in all, I strongly recommend this supermarket to anyone looking for bang-up value for their dosh.
Patricia Anderson (25/06/2025, 01:30):
It's quite sizable with a decent variety of products. Ideal for snagging some savings on unfamiliar brands. I've yet to come across a calm Lidl, they tend to be bustling, but the checkout line moves swiftly.
Certainly worth popping in to discover what bargains you can score.
Keith Young (24/06/2025, 07:44):
I popped into this supermarket earlier in the week, right around 6pm. It was my second time visiting this place. I was pleasantly surprised to find a decent selection of fresh fruits and veggies as well as baked goods still up for grabs at that hour. The store had a fair amount of customers milling about, and there was a bit of a queue forming at the checkouts. However, the line moved swiftly thanks to the efficient staff manning both the regular and self-service checkout counters.
I must say, this supermarket boasts plenty of free parking, and it's conveniently located near good public transportation options and close to the bypass.
Kimberly Reyes (23/06/2025, 01:48):
Absolutely love Lidl's fruits and vegetables, they're just fantastic for the price!
Barbara Lee (22/06/2025, 17:02):
The Supermarket was well-stocked, tidy, and adhering to social distancing guidelines. The staff were really friendly, and there was hardly any waiting time at the checkout.
Rachel Alexander (19/06/2025, 00:21):
Neat and organized. Fully stocked. Extensive selection. Fantastic bakery with fresh goods. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend for quick trips or weekly shopping.
Carl Rivera (18/06/2025, 16:46):
I recently acquired a Spanish dictionary at this establishment, only to discover that it had been tampered with. Instead of helpful vocabulary, every entry had been crudely replaced with profanities. Consequently, my attempt to order a simple meal resulted in a grave misunderstanding, leading to my unfortunate incarceration in a Spanish prison. Exercise caution when visiting this store, lest you too fall victim to such linguistic mischief.
Gloria Myers (15/06/2025, 02:34):
Not too far from an established Morrisons, this store primarily caters to students who are looking for fresh vegetables and meat. They also offer a wide range of hardware products and various home decorations!
Angela Reed (14/06/2025, 05:23):
At 8pm, 2 hours afore closing, they put yon wee lad on yon conveyer belt till and shut the 9 self checkouts he could be manning instead. The queue builds up wi' a crowd o' no-so-posh clientele gettin' too close and breathin' down yer neck. The lad on the till has tae handle all the shopping that folk hae touched. Ye ken why? The self-checkout disnae take cash... this specific store converted its self-checkouts tae no' accept cash efter installin' them. All other Lidls wi' self-checkouts tak cash, like in Maryhill. Why did this particular Lidl decide tae dae this and cause sae mony issues wi' efficiency and hygiene durin' a pandemic is a mystery.
Also, I got ecoli from a sealed refrigerated "vegan" sausage roll, which led tae an upper UTI and a hospital visit efter ma last trip here. I also saw staff leave large crates o' frozen or chilled food on the floor with nae coolin' while takin' their time restockin'. I reckon that didnae help.
Bakery items are still sittin' out in the open tae be breathed on by the clientele.
Th' pretzels always look like they're 3 days old and swimmin' in salt that's turned intae goo. Doesn't matter if ye go right at openin', th' pretzels are clearly past their prime.
Scott Jenkins (11/06/2025, 17:22):
Closed at 9:53 PM, only needed one item and wasn't allowed inside.
Lucy Gonzales (09/06/2025, 21:55):
The W5 drain unblocker is fantastic! I poured half of the bottle down the bath plug hole, let it sit for 24 hours, and then poured a kettle of boiling water down it. The hair and soap scum were completely gone, and now my drain works like new. It's very effective and at a quarter of the price of Mr. Muscle!
My only complaint is that compared to Aldi, where everything is always organized and neat, Lidl can sometimes be a bit messy and disorganized. This might be because they have fewer staff than Aldi.
Bradley Gomez (09/06/2025, 11:24):
Decent prices, decent selection. The place can get pretty quiet at times when folks don't restock, almost like a ghost town. Luckily, it's conveniently located close to a Morrison's, so whatever Lidl is missing, you can usually find at Morrison's.
Barbara Kim (09/06/2025, 09:07):
Fantastic spot for delicious grub and beverages
Emily Alexander (09/06/2025, 07:26):
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff were present at 3pm today in the supermarket! It's quite disappointing to see that there are no longer hand gel and wipes available for trolleys at the entrance. I wonder why they stopped providing them?
Moreover, I couldn't help but notice the lack of social distancing among some shoppers who seem ignorant and selfish. Neither the shoppers nor the staff were wearing face masks, which is quite concerning.
It's evident that maintaining social distance is not taken seriously in this store, despite the announcements made over the tannoy. If you are someone who values social distancing, I would advise being cautious while shopping here. There's simply no excuse for disregarding safety measures at this point, I'm afraid.
