One of the best family-owned shops I've come across! The staff is very helpful, they truly appreciate the craft of tailored kilts and are so helpful in guiding new kilt buyers.
I've personally sought their assistance and asked numerous questions, and they were incredibly patient in explaining all the nuances of selecting a kilt and helping me make my decision.
Andrew even took the time to show me the distinctions between various thread weights, types of plaid, a rough breakdown of how the kilt is assembled, explained the buckles, and other details – more than most people would inquire about, I presume ... I'm just a curious fellow.
I plan on returning for more kilt-related items as they have a wide array of stock, official tartans, and a wealth of experience spanning over 20+ years.... I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit if you're in the market for kilts and related clothing items.

Absolutely faultless service! I was in need of a kilt for a funeral in London and wanted to ensure it arrived with plenty of time in case there were any fit issues. The kilt was delivered a few days early and collected the day after the event. This was my first time wearing a kilt and thanks to 'House of Argyll', it certainly won't be my last. If Carlsberg (or Tennent's) made kilts, they would probably look something like this!

I had tae get my ain, weel worn kilt cleaned and fairly extensively altered by House of Argyll. The process was braw, wi' the cleaning carried out first tae alloo us tae fully assess the kilt and mak sure it wis worth the further investment in carryin oot the alterations. It wis, wi' some pretty grim lookin stains frae various weddings, fitba matches etc removed and the kilt lookin really fresh. The alterations were then dune and the kilt fits perfect again, richt in the middle o' the straps sae allowin for change either in or oot for the next guid few years at least. Cannae recommend highly enoujgh if ye hae a kilt ye want altered, cleaned or baith. I am delighted tae hae a kilt I hae been wearing for 30 years back tae tip-top condition.

I used this shop for my family member's wedding and they were absolutely brilliant. They took the time to understand exactly what we wanted in terms of the tartan, and their fitting process was top-notch. It did take them quite a while to finally get a website up and running, but I'm pleased they have one now.
