Absolutely fantastic experience hired my kilt and best man kilt from House Of Argyll Kilts. The staff are so knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect outfit for the wedding. All the kilts were on display in the shop for us to see, and we had our outfits sorted days before the event. This allowed us time to try everything on and make sure we had all the pieces we needed. I had a grand time at a wedding recently, and just the day before, I found out my waistcoat and jacket didn't fit anymore. My missus mentioned a kilt shop in Alexandria that could help... Let me tell you, it was more than helpful!
I popped in around 1700 on Thursday, with the wedding the very next day. Stewart was an absolute gem, full of knowledge and quick to find a matching waistcoat and jacket for me. He measured me up in no time, and before I knew it, I had a perfectly fitted waistcoat and jacket to hire and take away right then and there. I even got myself some new kilt socks, a fresh shirt, and loads of great advice on extending my kilt or making alterations.
When I returned the jacket and waistcoat later, I learned that House of Argyll had sorted out the whole wedding party and the groom had picked up his gear from them. Everyone looked just right!
I can't emphasize enough that if you're in the market for renting, buying, alterations, or just some good old advice, this is the place to be. Big thanks to Stewart and the folks at House of Argyll. I'll definitely be back to get my kilt spruced up at some point. Cheers!

I've personally sought their assistance and asked numerous questions, and they were incredibly patient in explaining all the nuances of selecting a kilt and helping me make my decision.
Andrew even took the time to show me the distinctions between various thread weights, types of plaid, a rough breakdown of how the kilt is assembled, explained the buckles, and other details – more than most people would inquire about, I presume ... I'm just a curious fellow.
I plan on returning for more kilt-related items as they have a wide array of stock, official tartans, and a wealth of experience spanning over 20+ years.... I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit if you're in the market for kilts and related clothing items.

Absolutely faultless service! I was in need of a kilt for a funeral in London and wanted to ensure it arrived with plenty of time in case there were any fit issues. The kilt was delivered a few days early and collected the day after the event. This was my first time wearing a kilt and thanks to 'House of Argyll', it certainly won't be my last. If Carlsberg (or Tennent's) made kilts, they would probably look something like this!
