Parking and Accessibility

The supermarket provides a free parking lot, making it easier for shoppers to visit without worrying about parking fees. Despite its accessibility features, some reviews pointed to concerns about the cleanliness of the parking area and other parts of the store.

Highlights of the Store

One of the main highlights of Asda Barrhead is its wide range of products. Customers can find everything from great produce to clothing items. However, many shoppers have expressed frustration regarding the frequent stock shortages and expired products on the shelves, indicating a need for improved inventory management.

Customer Experiences

Issues such as long queues due to limited staffed checkouts and unhelpful staff have been reported frequently. Many patrons noted that staff often seemed disengaged and were not readily available to assist customers.

Additionally, shoppers have highlighted the need for better management of fresh produce, as several instances of expired items have been reported. This inconsistency has led some customers to consider alternative grocery stores like Lidl or Tesco.

Conclusion

Overall, Asda Barrhead Supermarket offers a variety of services and products suitable for the local community. However, the feedback points to significant areas of concern that management needs to address. Improving cleanliness, stock management, and customer service could enhance the overall shopping experience, making it a preferred destination for grocery shopping in Barrhead.

The fresh produce selection is absolutely dreadful, always seems to be on the verge of going off. More often than not, they never seem to have what you actually came in for. And today, despite the store buzzing with customers, there wasn't a single checkout open, so I had to struggle through self-service, which was an absolute nightmare! As if that wasn't bad enough, there were about 5 staff members just standing around watching me rather than opening a till. If I wanted to work as a cashier, I'd apply for a job! Utterly useless.
Aaron Stewart (03/07/2025, 09:42):
One must always ensure to check the sell-by dates on fresh produce when shopping at the supermarket, it's crucial to only pick the freshest items for your recipes.
Eugene Bennett (02/07/2025, 21:17):
A petite ASDA with a decent range of products, although you won't find the same amount of deals as you would at the larger superstores.
Douglas Gomez (02/07/2025, 06:56):
The facilities are top-notch and the prices are very competitive.
Sarah Peterson (25/06/2025, 13:14):
A delightful spot for shopping with friendly staff.
Mark Peterson (23/06/2025, 06:15):
Just your run-of-the-mill Tesco. They've got loo facilities and plenty of parking space.
Martha Nguyen (22/06/2025, 06:09):
Oi mate, let me tell ya ‘bout me trip to the market. I ‘ad a right trouble gettin’ me hands on a bleedin’ trolley, ‘ad to trek all the way down to the car park to fetch one meself. And don’t get me started on the out-of-date gear they’re floggin’, absolutely rubbish. Most of the checkout blokes and birds are alright, but there was this one sour-faced lass who couldn’t be arsed to lift a finger. Had to ring up and give ‘em an earful, I did. I’ll go out of me way to steer clear of that one, mark my words. And the bloke I spoke to on the blower? Useless, didn’t even bother askin’ for me digits or anythin’. Proper poor show, that is.
Aaron Thomas (20/06/2025, 14:53):
The chicken is absolutely dreadful. Whoever is running this establishment needs a good shake-up, and the person responsible for the refrigerated goods should be fired!
Theresa Taylor (17/06/2025, 10:41):
Oh, it was quite splendid, thank you!
Danielle Kim (17/06/2025, 08:24):
Not the tidiest or most organized supermarket I've been to. Folks were wandering around without their masks, even though they're supposed to be mandatory. And not a hand sanitizer in sight!
Beverly Ford (16/06/2025, 11:56):
Something must be done about the situation with people queuing at the trolley self-checkouts and then hopping over to the basket ones when there is another entrance clearly available. I've lost track of how many times I've had arguments with customers over who is next, as they have come in from the trolley section...
Edward Martinez (13/06/2025, 03:31):
This supermarket has lifts and escalators from an underground car park directly into the store. There is no car park in front, but it's an easy walk-in at street level.
Ryan Edwards (12/06/2025, 02:49):
Oh dear, the situation outside the front entrance is quite dire. It seems like you would need a boat or a pair of waders to navigate through the water that has risen up to my shins! I understand that the weather may be poor, but efforts should be made to clear the area for the convenience and safety of customers. Let's consider the customer experience, shall we?
John Scott (11/06/2025, 17:44):
Lovely tidy and welcoming place for shopping, with a great covered car park! 😊🛒
Barbara Gonzalez (11/06/2025, 00:07):
Just relocated and this is now our neighbourhood supermarket. We are chuffed to bits with the variety of products and the convenient location. Cheers!
Cynthia Johnson (10/06/2025, 15:43):
Just popping out to grab some petrol and my cigars, that's all. The shop is tiny but does the job.
Bryan Ramos (10/06/2025, 04:02):
It's a fine little supermarket with a wide selection of food to choose from.
Aaron Robinson (09/06/2025, 18:46):
Asda, mate, is like a big bloke with a stash of goodies that's more like a quick-stop shop, perfect for your daily bits and bobs but watch out for those sneaky high prices, innit!
Bryan Davis (08/06/2025, 10:31):
This mid to large Asda store features a lower ground level parking lot accessed from the rear of the building. Additionally, it offers an eight-pump self-service station, with one pump designated for disabled customers. While I personally cannot discern any differences between this pump and the others, individuals with disabilities may be able to identify the specific accommodations provided. 😁
Cheryl Powell (07/06/2025, 13:38):
Asda is absolutely brilliant, always stocked with fresh produce and plenty of options to choose from!
