Plenty of top-notch goods on offer, from fashion to groceries and household items. Plus, there's a spacious cafe located on the second floor of the establishment. The employees are delightful and there's always a pleasant and relaxed ambiance in the shop!

Well, where do I begin? I have to admit, I'm absolutely dreadful at choosing clothes. The whole ordeal tends to overwhelm me, and I invariably end up just grabbing everything in black! So, this has happened twice now. On a recent work night out, I found myself in desperate need of an outfit. I wandered into M&S, took a look around, and that's when I encountered a seasoned gent by the name of Thomas. He was absolutely fantastic. Thomas expertly coordinated my ensemble, asking all the right questions to ensure I was properly outfitted. Fast forward to today, and I found myself back at M&S in search of an outfit for another important occasion - a date this time. I scanned the store looking for Thomas, but alas, he had departed. However, he had left me in the capable hands of Scott, another sharp dresser on your team. The first shirt Scott selected was oddly enough the one I had my eye on, but he insisted I try on a few other options before heading to the fitting room. Not only that, he went out of his way to fetch additional shirts while I was changing. All in all, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service. I hope both Thomas and Scott are still part of the company come Christmas, as I'd love to show them my appreciation with some chocolates or a drink.

On our fourth day in Glasgow, my mate and I popped into this cafe that felt just like a cozy spot for a cuppa at home. The staff there were ever so friendly, welcoming us with wide grins! We've tried out about five different restaurants during our stay, but none can quite top the service we received at M and S!

The lighting in the fashion section of the store was just dreadful, my dear! It was far too harsh and didn't do justice to the lovely merchandise at all. Quite dull and outdated, giving the store a rather tired appearance. On the bright side, the food hall was simply splendid! It looked straight out of a magazine – so modern, bright, and simply thrilling.

Mark & Spencer is always a top choice for premium products - ranging from groceries to fashion. Though the prices may lean towards the higher end, the exclusivity and exceptional quality of their items make it worth the investment.
I particularly appreciate the diverse gifting selections that M&S provides, especially during the festive season. These gift options truly simplify life and add a touch of elegance to special occasions.
Roger Peterson (08/07/2025, 06:37):
It was quite toasty outside, but even toastier inside..... where on earth is the air conditioning? My heart goes out to the poor staff, especially in the cafe. They were all decked out in black as well. Managed to snag some cute threads on sale though.

Hello, the good food and quality at restaurants on Argyke Street are top-notch. The staff deserves a 10 out of 10 rating for their great service and interaction with the public. However, I did notice that two female staff members could use new footwear and make sure to keep it clean, as it may be affecting the overall image of the team. Thank you.
Eugene Edwards (05/07/2025, 20:33):
Fantastic supermarket, a wide range of clothing options. The basement food hall is top-notch, and I can't get enough of their iced lattes. With plenty of lifts and escalators, navigating the store is a breeze even during peak hours.
Kelly Henderson (01/07/2025, 23:36):
Quite warm inside. Offers high-quality clothing for individuals in their middle years at a reasonable price for the value. The dining area is excellent, I would rate it a 4 out of 5. They offer delectable ready-made meals and fresh produce. Dining in for two is my top pick when it comes to superstores.
Kelly White (28/06/2025, 05:41):
I must say, I often find it quite surprising when I hear that their profits may dip, as M&S really does provide value for money in my eyes. While some items may be a tad on the pricey side, you can always count on receiving a high-quality product, especially within their clothing collection. Their food selection, in my opinion, is impeccable - the flavors and attention to detail truly shine through.
Grace Kim (27/06/2025, 22:23):
The staff at the supermarket were so lovely and helpful, but I swear you need a map to navigate around! 😂
Stephanie Gomez (25/06/2025, 00:32):
On the morning of Sunday, March 15th, I popped by the M&S food department. I must say, young Rory caught my eye as he diligently stocked the shelves. His helpfulness, politeness, and courtesy truly stood out. A shining star indeed! Many thanks to you, Rory.
Carol Sullivan (24/06/2025, 17:46):
The layout can be a tad confusing, but overall it's your standard large M&S store with a wide range of products at different price points. The staff are friendly, there are lifts for accessibility, and for some reason, there are twice as many escalators. Your experience may vary depending on what you're looking for, but it's generally a solid shopping destination.
Russell Reyes (23/06/2025, 14:52):
The garments are of top-notch quality, and the grocery section is expansive, but the establishment itself is a letdown. It gives off an outdated department store vibe from the early 90s and could do with some modernization. Not too shabby, but I'd lean towards recommending the Debenhams across the road at St Enoch Centre instead.
Shirley Davis (22/06/2025, 14:35):
What a brilliant sale they had on at the store! Picked up a few bits and pieces, and a lovely lady kindly gave my husband and me two vouchers for a hot beverage at the M&S Café. Much appreciated, whoever you are. It was just what we needed to refuel. Although, it did end up costing my husband a bit more money in the end 😊 …
Mark Watson (19/06/2025, 11:49):
So, today I popped down to the store to grab some butter and, not checking the date like a right numpty, I get home only to realize it's a mere 3 days off its expiry! Blimey! Now, I swear that shelf was chock-a-block full, and in any proper supermarket worth its salt, they'd have whipped this off the shelves when the date started getting dodgy. They might've even stuck a warning label on it or dropped the price a tad. Can't say I'm chuffed about this slip-up, but I'll be fair and give 'em a pass this time since it's the first time this sort of hiccup has happened to me with this product.
Michael Morales (18/06/2025, 23:27):
A top-notch store always begins at the highest level and gradually makes its way down, starting with a visit to the café for a delightful cup of coffee or a light lunch, depending on the time of day. The furniture and homeware section never fail to impress with their eye-catching designs. Moving on to the clothing department, you'll find high-quality, durable men's shirts. And last but not least, the food hall boasts the finest selection of food you can find anywhere.
Steven James (15/06/2025, 17:58):
I was so excited to visit Markies as there are none in my area in Germany. However, I was disappointed to see that there was minimal effort to provide information on vegetarian or vegan options. Additionally, the fruit and vegetables were pricier and not of better quality than other stores. The overuse of plastic packaging was also a concern - the customers ahead of me used six plastic bags! It's a shame that the management doesn't seem to prioritize sustainability and encourage customers to choose more eco-friendly options. I left feeling let down by the experience.
Amanda Reed (14/06/2025, 07:58):
I would give this large store in Glasgow only three stars. It can be quite challenging to locate staff members on the sales floor for help, and when you finally do, they often seem engrossed in deep conversation and react with surprise if you interrupt them. The food hall deserves top marks, but it seems that M&S is not the place for bargain deals as many items appear to be on the expensive side. While the overall shopping experience is satisfactory, it doesn't quite live up to the standards of the past when the Argyle Street M&S would have easily earned a perfect five-star rating from everyone. There is certainly room for improvement.
