Exploring Morrisons Supermarket in St Andrews

Morrisons Supermarket in St Andrews offers a variety of services and amenities that cater to the needs of its customers. Whether you are looking for fresh produce or quick meal options, this supermarket has something for everyone.

Service Options and Amenities

One of the highlights of Morrisons is its diverse service options which include delivery, in-store pick-up, and no-contact delivery for those who prefer a safer shopping experience. The café offers a great selection of meals, making it an ideal spot for a quick visit. However, recent feedback suggests that the service speed can be improved to reduce waiting times for food orders. Additionally, Morrisons features a pharmacy and toilet facilities, including a wheelchair-accessible toilet for those in need. The wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park further enhance the supermarket's commitment to accessibility.

Quality of Produce

Customers have praised the store for its great produce, particularly in the fresh fruit and vegetable section. While some shoppers have reported issues with misleading labels (like green bananas labeled as ready to eat), these instances seem to be rare. Overall, the selection includes local and exotic products, offering a broad range of choices to meet different culinary preferences.

Payment and Customer Experience

Morrisons supports various payment methods, including debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments, ensuring convenience at checkout. Despite some positive reviews about friendly cashiers, many customers have voiced concerns over the crowded self-service checkouts and the lack of sufficient staff during peak hours. This has led to longer waiting times, causing frustration among shoppers.

Catering to the Community

Morrisons aims to be an LGBTQ+ friendly space and has made efforts to create a transgender safe space within its premises. Additionally, it encourages recycling initiatives, especially regarding its packaging practices. However, many customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the amount of plastic bags used for produce and have urged the store to consider more sustainable alternatives.

Dining Experience

The café inside Morrisons usually receives mixed reviews. While some enjoy the affordable meals and the clean environment, others have reported stale food and slow service. Suggestions have been made for improvements in cleanliness and food freshness to enhance the dining experience.

Final Thoughts

In summary, Morrisons Supermarket in St Andrews provides a wide array of offerings for daily grocery needs, alongside excellent amenities like a pharmacy and café. However, challenges such as customer service speed, stock management, and accessibility for disabled shoppers are areas that need attention. Regular shoppers may find it beneficial to plan their visits during off-peak hours to enjoy a quieter shopping experience.

Sandra Patterson (27/05/2025, 06:30):
I don't frequent this place much, but when I do, the staff are quite helpful and polite. They have a good selection of items, although the prices can be higher. I did notice that the diesel was 3.5 more expensive than in Dundee.
Roy Hughes (26/05/2025, 17:38):
The salad bar had a fantastic assortment to choose from. The store was bustling with activity but still managed to stay clean and organized.
Andrea Cox (26/05/2025, 13:30):
What a daft concept, 2 hours of parking. 2 hours is barely enough time to enjoy a cuppa at the cafe and do the monthly grocery run. Hit with a £100 fine. After lavishing thousands at your store throughout the years, I shan't be returning. Cheers.
Judith Murphy (25/05/2025, 21:12):
I must say, the store layout is quite impressive and the staff is very friendly.
Joseph Roberts (24/05/2025, 22:39):
Stopped by the in-laws' place and they decided to show me this Supermarket. The staff were absolutely brilliant and very accommodating. The shelves were fully loaded and the checkout process was quick and hassle-free. I will definitely be returning soon.
Samantha Howard (21/05/2025, 01:38):
The variety of products is top-notch, ample parking available, a convenient on-site pharmacy, ATMs, and a petrol station. The staff is not only helpful but also friendly. It appears that during evenings, self-service checkouts are the only option.
Bryan Lewis (18/05/2025, 23:45):
I popped in for a coffee and sandwich earlier today, and even used the facilities which were spotless. The place had a decent Morrison's vibe to it, I must say.
Louis Patterson (17/05/2025, 22:56):
When will they start assisting disabled individuals at this market? There are quite a few disabled folks lining up at this establishment and they are being obligated to wait outside in the rain, etc. The setup with the barriers is nonsensical as disabled individuals have to traverse halfway around the parking lot to return to their vehicles parked in the designated disability spaces, which are meant to facilitate shopping for those with disabilities and be closer to the store entrance, but certainly not upon exiting. It's high time they considered their arrangements.
Brandon Rodriguez (16/05/2025, 21:05):
The pharmacy manager was about as helpful as a broken door, utterly useless, I must say.
Elizabeth Morales (16/05/2025, 09:12):
Not great, I must say. The supermarket is looking rather worn out and the shelves are not very well-stocked. Nonetheless, the butcher's section is still quite impressive, and the fish selection is usually good (although this morning it was quite limited). There were hardly any checkout staff available, so it felt almost like a self-service experience during my visit earlier today. With a bit more attention, this supermarket could certainly enhance its appeal and become a top-notch shopping destination once again.
Katherine Hayes (15/05/2025, 02:36):
I found some fantastic bedding plants at Supermarket, where I got 92 plants for just £26! I make it a tradition to visit every year because they always thrive so beautifully in my garden.
Keith Hamilton (15/05/2025, 02:30):
The staff at the supermarket are absolutely lovely - so polite and friendly! I visited on Friday the 21st at 9pm, and it was wonderful to encounter such good manners throughout the store. Overall, it was an excellent experience! 😀
Eugene Wright (10/05/2025, 17:52):
I'm not entirely certain if they might be shorthanded or something of the sort, but it seems like we always find ourselves waiting for a member of staff to notice us at the tobacco counter. There have been occasions when we've waited for nearly 10 minutes! Not ideal when you're in a hurry.
Roger Torres (09/05/2025, 23:29):
Absolutely thrilled with this new supermarket, it's a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The variety and quality of products are top-notch, and the layout is so easy to navigate. Can't wait to go back for my next grocery run!
Patrick Butler (09/05/2025, 08:51):
Everything you require at affordable prices. The personnel are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Whilst it may lack the quaint charm of a small-scale grocer, this supermarket is undeniably pleasant. Look out for weekly discounts on staple goods and dedicated sections showcasing local farmers and producers. For a tranquil shopping experience, consider visiting later in the day.
Willie Harris (08/05/2025, 04:06):
The green bananas that you are currently selling with labels claiming to be ready to eat are actually not. They won't be ripe enough to eat for at least another two weeks, and I believe this is misleading, if not unlawful. It is unusual for Morrisons to make such an error. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt.
