Exploring Morrisons Supermarket in St Andrews

Morrisons Supermarket in St Andrews offers a variety of services and amenities that cater to the needs of its customers. Whether you are looking for fresh produce or quick meal options, this supermarket has something for everyone.

Service Options and Amenities

One of the highlights of Morrisons is its diverse service options which include delivery, in-store pick-up, and no-contact delivery for those who prefer a safer shopping experience. The café offers a great selection of meals, making it an ideal spot for a quick visit. However, recent feedback suggests that the service speed can be improved to reduce waiting times for food orders. Additionally, Morrisons features a pharmacy and toilet facilities, including a wheelchair-accessible toilet for those in need. The wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park further enhance the supermarket's commitment to accessibility.

Quality of Produce

Customers have praised the store for its great produce, particularly in the fresh fruit and vegetable section. While some shoppers have reported issues with misleading labels (like green bananas labeled as ready to eat), these instances seem to be rare. Overall, the selection includes local and exotic products, offering a broad range of choices to meet different culinary preferences.

Payment and Customer Experience

Morrisons supports various payment methods, including debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments, ensuring convenience at checkout. Despite some positive reviews about friendly cashiers, many customers have voiced concerns over the crowded self-service checkouts and the lack of sufficient staff during peak hours. This has led to longer waiting times, causing frustration among shoppers.

Catering to the Community

Morrisons aims to be an LGBTQ+ friendly space and has made efforts to create a transgender safe space within its premises. Additionally, it encourages recycling initiatives, especially regarding its packaging practices. However, many customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the amount of plastic bags used for produce and have urged the store to consider more sustainable alternatives.

Dining Experience

The café inside Morrisons usually receives mixed reviews. While some enjoy the affordable meals and the clean environment, others have reported stale food and slow service. Suggestions have been made for improvements in cleanliness and food freshness to enhance the dining experience.

Final Thoughts

In summary, Morrisons Supermarket in St Andrews provides a wide array of offerings for daily grocery needs, alongside excellent amenities like a pharmacy and café. However, challenges such as customer service speed, stock management, and accessibility for disabled shoppers are areas that need attention. Regular shoppers may find it beneficial to plan their visits during off-peak hours to enjoy a quieter shopping experience.

Popped into the supermarket for a quick bite, rather let down by the meal. The chips were cold and old, had to return them to have them reheated in a microwave. Not appetizing at all!
Sharon Martin (15/06/2025, 19:07):
This meal deal offers a great variety of food and beverages to choose from, making it a top choice for a quick and delicious meal.
Thomas Gonzalez (15/06/2025, 11:52):
Visited the Morrisons café with me mum, and she left us for a good half hour without sayin'. When we finally got our order, they only brought out one toastie instead of the three we had put on the tray! Not the best service, wouldn't be recommendin' it.
Heather Ross (12/06/2025, 22:07):
I recently made a pit stop in St Andrews for a bite to eat and decided to try out the in-store restaurant around 6:15. I was pleasantly surprised by the varied selection of meals available, all of which were served up looking very appetizing and tasted delicious. The two lads working there were extremely helpful and efficient, swiftly clearing tables, preparing food, and delivering orders with ease. I particularly liked the use of computerized tablet devices to place my order, it saved me time queuing and was incredibly user-friendly.
Janet Phillips (11/06/2025, 17:21):
I recently stumbled upon the Morrisons delivery service on their website and it's been an absolute lifesaver. It has saved me loads of time and money. I highly recommend giving it a try if you enjoy planning your shopping in advance or if you're a student without a car having a hectic week. The best part is being able to select a delivery time that suits you. Furthermore, you have the option to pay £5-8 for a month of free deliveries, which is definitely worth it.
Ava Johnson (11/06/2025, 15:54):
I was able to get everything I needed. The cashier was friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking space available.
Nathan Carter (11/06/2025, 02:15):
The staff was lovely, we enjoyed a delicious meal at a reasonable price. There were plenty of parking spaces available and the toilets were kept clean.
Marilyn Brooks (08/06/2025, 15:10):
The prices are top-notch and they've got a great selection of goods, particularly for whipping up some Asian cuisine. The variety of fish and seafood they offer is superb and we always have a blast exploring their options.
Joshua Graham (05/06/2025, 17:36):
The fuel prices in St Andrews are absolutely outrageous, mate! Today it's 187.9 pence per liter in St Andrews, while just 11 miles away in Dundee it's 177.9 pence per liter. This is pure profiteering at its worst! Come on Morrisons, give the good people of St Andrews a fair shake!
Joe Sullivan (03/06/2025, 07:49):
The cashiers are always so friendly. The products are of good quality and at reasonable prices.
Alice Martin (02/06/2025, 03:44):
Not my usual Morrison's, but quite handy when visiting St. Andrews hospital or waiting for your furry friend to receive treatment at Provost. Both healthcare facilities are located nearby. Ample parking available and a delightful cafe where one can enjoy gluten-free options. We had a pleasant experience sitting down for a while without any hassle.
Amelia White (01/06/2025, 20:09):
Quality is top-notch, great range of products, and the fuel prices are unbeatable! A must-visit destination for all your shopping needs.
Logan Hughes (01/06/2025, 09:58):
What a lovely surprise to find a grocery store with such wonderful staff and a well-stocked, clean shop. After a long shift at the hospital, it's actually a pleasure to do my shopping here! I never thought I would say that.

The staff is not only friendly and helpful, but they also go above and beyond to assist customers and find items. The team is truly fantastic.

Even the managers are hands-on, whether it's stocking shelves or helping out on the floor. They take the time to engage with customers as well.

I am highly impressed and grateful for the hard work and dedication of each and every staff member, especially in these challenging times. As an NHS worker, I know that collaboration across different industries is what's helping us all to overcome this crisis together, and your supermarket is certainly playing a significant role in that effort.

So, thank you to the entire team!
Bruce Hall (01/06/2025, 03:46):
It would be much improved if one could locate staff on the shop floor. I do prefer to be promptly attended to, yet I would rather endure a few extra minutes in the queue in order to locate assistance on the shop floor rather than having everyone stationed at the tills.
Sandra Patterson (27/05/2025, 06:30):
I don't frequent this place much, but when I do, the staff are quite helpful and polite. They have a good selection of items, although the prices can be higher. I did notice that the diesel was 3.5 more expensive than in Dundee.
Roy Hughes (26/05/2025, 17:38):
The salad bar had a fantastic assortment to choose from. The store was bustling with activity but still managed to stay clean and organized.
Andrea Cox (26/05/2025, 13:30):
What a daft concept, 2 hours of parking. 2 hours is barely enough time to enjoy a cuppa at the cafe and do the monthly grocery run. Hit with a £100 fine. After lavishing thousands at your store throughout the years, I shan't be returning. Cheers.
Judith Murphy (25/05/2025, 21:12):
I must say, the store layout is quite impressive and the staff is very friendly.
Joseph Roberts (24/05/2025, 22:39):
Stopped by the in-laws' place and they decided to show me this Supermarket. The staff were absolutely brilliant and very accommodating. The shelves were fully loaded and the checkout process was quick and hassle-free. I will definitely be returning soon.
Samantha Howard (21/05/2025, 01:38):
The variety of products is top-notch, ample parking available, a convenient on-site pharmacy, ATMs, and a petrol station. The staff is not only helpful but also friendly. It appears that during evenings, self-service checkouts are the only option.
