Not great service at all. My dashboard had a service light on, indicating that the Nox sensor needed replacing. I took my car to the shop and showed them what needed to be done. After leaving it with them, they ended up ordering and changing a different sensor without informing me. When I collected my car after paying 300 pounds, I discovered that the service message was still there, meaning the main sensor I needed replacing hadn't been fixed. They now want to charge me an additional 250 for the correct sensor. It's the worst service experience I've ever had.

Incredible service from the crew over at SMS Alloa this morning, top-notch from beginning to end. The lads were brilliant - fast, friendly, and got the job done in no time. Sorted out a pesky nail in my mum's tire, and the price was spot on. The lady at the front desk was lovely as well. Can't sing their praises enough...fantastic experience, would highly recommend.

The folks over at the Alloa store have consistently provided top-notch service, and their products have always been a great value. This was my initial experience with their online booking system, and although there was a small snag when I showed up for my tire installation appointment and the tires were delayed in delivery, I understand that these things can happen. Otherwise, my overall impression would have been even better.

AVOID THIS TIRE SHOP AT ALL COSTS
Just got hit with a £100 bill for one hour of work to install 4 tires that I brought in. Completely outrageous, total rip off. I can't fathom how they can rest easy at night.

Top-notch service. Just had 4 fresh GT Radials mounted on me car and the ride's never been smoother. Quality tyres at a decent price. Placed me order online, dead easy it was. Popped off for a cuppa, got a text saying job's done. Proper chuffed with the outcome, definitely heading back to SMS in the future.

After being advised by a well-known garage that my van required new front calipers, discs, and pads at a hefty price of £880, I decided to seek alternative options. Upon contacting SMS as they were local, I received a quote of £605 and they could accommodate me the following day. I was pleased with this and brought my van in today.

I was warmly greeted by a kind and helpful lady when I arrived. A few hours later, my van was ready for collection. When I went to retrieve my keys and settle the bill, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was only £350. This was because they were able to swap the sliders and didn't need to replace the entire caliper.

I would like to express my gratitude for the honesty and professionalism demonstrated by SMS today. As a result, I wholeheartedly recommend their services to others and will undoubtedly be utilizing them for my business needs in the future.

Had to get my car MOT done. Usually I take it to a local bloke but he was fully booked, so I remembered SMS Alloa and they were able to slot us in the next day. I've had generally good experiences with them in the past, so I figured they'd do the job.

My car was running fine, no issues starting up on chilly mornings and the engine had never conked out on me. It's a pretty sturdy car compared to some clunkers I've owned in the past. The old man has a background in engineering and we have a mate who helps us out with car troubles as well.

The old man drove the car to the garage (running perfectly). Got a call later saying the MOT was a fail - fair enough, but it failed big time because now the car wouldn't even start. The battery and alternator had mysteriously packed in. They hit us with a £1000 bill for repairs, £300 of which was for some exhaust issue.

When we went to pick up the car, both me and the old man had a feeling something wasn't right. The woman there wasn't very helpful and just kept saying "these things happen", but she said it so many times it made me suspicious. She pointed to the certificate listing all the problems but didn't explain anything - must've thought we were daft.

Paid for the MOT but not the repairs, just didn't sit well with me. Was fuming, they jump-started our car and off we went. When you take your car to a garage, you expect it to come back in the same or better condition, not worse.

We sourced the parts from independent suppliers ourselves, and our mate did the repairs. Total cost for all the parts came to under £250, and our mate had it fixed in less than 5 hours.

(The exhaust part itself cost £100 and took less than an hour to replace.)

Got the MOT done again with our usual guy and it passed without a hitch.

Interestingly, SMS Alloa had flagged issues with two tires, which weren't mentioned on my second MOT certificate at all.

Won't be going back to SMS Alloa anytime soon, that's for sure.

These lasses were a tremendous help, I tell ya! I was on the hunt for a brake part for my car project, and one of the gals found it and miraculously got it delivered to the shop before noon. They truly saved the day! 👍👍
