Brilliant museum, much bigger and more to explore than you'd reckon from the foyer - be sure to grab the complimentary map at the ticket desk to make certain you take in all the nooks and crannies. Impressive exhibits and dioramas walk you through the entire saga of fishing from yesteryears to now.

While some of the displays may seem a bit worn out and the mannequins can be a tad eerie, there is a plethora of boats to admire and fascinating information on the rich history of Scottish fishing. Much more captivating than one might anticipate. Abundant with intriguing tales of boat construction and fishing traditions. The vessels increase in size as you progress further through the museum. We spent a delightful two hours exploring. Afterwards, we casually strolled next door for some classic fish and chips.
