The supermarket also supports various payment methods including debit and credit cards, as well as NFC mobile payments, which enhance the shopping experience.

Parking and Accessibility

The supermarket provides a free parking lot, making it easier for shoppers to visit without worrying about parking fees. Despite its accessibility features, some reviews pointed to concerns about the cleanliness of the parking area and other parts of the store.

Highlights of the Store

One of the main highlights of Asda Barrhead is its wide range of products. Customers can find everything from great produce to clothing items. However, many shoppers have expressed frustration regarding the frequent stock shortages and expired products on the shelves, indicating a need for improved inventory management.

Recycling Initiatives

Asda Barrhead also participates in recycling initiatives, catering to environmentally conscious consumers looking to dispose of metal cans and other recyclable materials responsibly.

Customer Experiences

Issues such as long queues due to limited staffed checkouts and unhelpful staff have been reported frequently. Many patrons noted that staff often seemed disengaged and were not readily available to assist customers.

Additionally, shoppers have highlighted the need for better management of fresh produce, as several instances of expired items have been reported. This inconsistency has led some customers to consider alternative grocery stores like Lidl or Tesco.

Conclusion

Overall, Asda Barrhead Supermarket offers a variety of services and products suitable for the local community. However, the feedback points to significant areas of concern that management needs to address. Improving cleanliness, stock management, and customer service could enhance the overall shopping experience, making it a preferred destination for grocery shopping in Barrhead.

The staff is very friendly. The prices are good and they have some great deals. There's a good variety of products to choose from.
Alexander Perez (31/08/2025, 22:06):
This store is brilliant for picking up groceries, home essentials, stylish clothing for everyone, and even lovely plants for your home.
Elizabeth Moore (30/08/2025, 23:57):
It's the only shop in Barrhead that sells clothes, so it's a shame there ain't a fitting room available.
Wayne Moore (30/08/2025, 19:39):
Inexpensive fuel, yet the pumps are filthy and the keypads are worn out. Additionally, there's a 50/50 shot that none of the printers will provide you with a receipt, so you'll have to park and enter the store to grab one. Trying to reprint one on a different pump hardly ever works. This issue has been persisting for quite some time.
Aaron Wilson (30/08/2025, 01:25):
It's becoming quite a trend these days to find that fresh products on the shelves have already exceeded their sell-by date. Today I purchased two fresh pasta sauces, only to realize that they were both over 10 days past their expiration date when I went to use one.

I had a similar experience a few weeks back with sandwich fillings. I noticed it while in the store and even pointed it out to a nearby staff member, but they seemed completely uninterested in what I was trying to convey.

It's evident that these items are not being properly checked, which raises concerns about what other mishaps might be occurring.

Therefore, it's crucial to double-check the items you're placing in your shopping basket.
Jean Parker (29/08/2025, 23:01):
Great selection of products and convenient parking for a smaller supermarket.
Roy Adams (25/08/2025, 01:00):
I had a dreadful shopping experience. There never seems to be enough staff on hand, long queues at the self-service checkout, and many registers are closed. It's quite frustrating, to be honest.
Kenneth Henderson (23/08/2025, 20:05):
I say, it seems like a right hullabaloo at this supermarket! The shelves are bare, and the items that are on display are either misplaced or past their prime. One must wonder what in the world has occurred to cause such disarray in this establishment. It's a proper mystery, I tell you.
Janice Simmons (22/08/2025, 03:40):
I used to be quite fond of this Asda, but it seems to be on the decline. The other day, I mistakenly ordered the wrong pizza. When I requested a different one, the young lady at the counter informed me that it had to be discarded due to having five toppings on it. I suggested that they could simply wrap it up and resell it since it was still a perfectly good pizza.
Gloria Robinson (22/08/2025, 00:55):
I am quite pleased with the new checkout layout and upgraded machines at the supermarket. They have improved the shopping experience for sure!
Noah Evans (19/08/2025, 10:51):
Didn't bother, as there was a long queue to get in.
Carolyn Mitchell (19/08/2025, 10:06):
Ah, these self-service machines are absolutely dreadful, aren't they? Every time you try to scan and bag an item, the blasted alarm goes off, saying there's an unexpected item in the bagging area. Can you believe it happened 7 times?? And I only had 6 things! It ended up taking longer to pay for my items than it did to actually grab them off the shelves. Oh, what a nightmare! 😭😭😭
Christina Reyes (17/08/2025, 23:38):
Here we have a rather unique Asda in Barrhead, sitting proudly on two levels with the main entrance facing the street and parking conveniently located on the lower level. Now, when it comes to supermarkets in Barrhead, there are three options to choose from. So why opt for this particular one? Well, dear readers, the answer lies in its exclusive feature – a petrol station that sets it apart from the competition. Quite the enticing reason to pay a visit, wouldn't you say?
Dorothy Kim (17/08/2025, 02:34):
The Supermarket offers consistently competitive pricing and fantastic deals on a variety of products. The helpful staff are always on hand to assist with any queries. My only gripe is that they frequently seem to be low on fresh pizza toppings.
Jessica Rogers (15/08/2025, 19:49):
Convenient parking and helpful customer service, top-notch experience at the supermarket!
Jennifer Perry (14/08/2025, 18:34):
I reckon the groceries at Asda are top-notch and the staff is right helpful, mate. Cheers!
Matthew Cruz (06/08/2025, 11:55):
Terrible market, head to Lidl just around the corner.
Roger Martin (05/08/2025, 03:15):
At this moment, I find myself queued behind three other shoppers with overflowing carts, and only one young lad manning the checkout. I reckon I'll be sticking to Tesco from here on out.
Doris Watson (04/08/2025, 02:17):
It's generally quite good, but why can't shoppers seem to follow the directional arrows...
Austin Price (02/08/2025, 15:18):
Top-notch selection of clothing, groceries, and household items at unbeatable prices. The customer service is outstanding, and the pristine restroom facilities are a delightful extra touch.
