Half decent supermarket, needs a bloody extension 'cause it's missing a few bits and bobs. Got a cafe upstairs with some cheeky deals. Those ruddy doors can't handle a breeze, what a pain in the arse. They've got a petrol station and enough space for parking. Click and collect spot too, ain't too shabby. Sometimes the loos upstairs are shut, leaving you with one downstairs. And don't even try sneaking up there, security is right on your tail. They whip up pizzas and slap 'em in the oven for a decent price, £5.40 for a big one.

I popped into Asda Ardrossan to fill up on petrol, and to my surprise, I noticed a pending charge of £99 on my account, despite only spending £20 at the pump! Although the £20 charge went through, the £99 pending charge still lingers even after 10 days. Trying to reach customer service for petrol-related issues has proven to be quite a challenge - never encountered such a situation at any other petrol station before!

Upon queuing at the gas and electricity desk in the supermarket, I found myself in a rather frustrating situation. There was only one staff member present who seemed more engrossed in a personal conversation with her "friend" rather than attending to the customers in line. This chat went on for about 4-5 minutes before she even began scanning the items on the desk. To make matters worse, the conversation continued for another 3-4 minutes after that.
This lack of focus on customer service led to three people leaving the queue out of impatience. Eventually, a different staff member had to step in and efficiently serve two customers ahead of us without any delay. It took a good 7-10 minutes before the original staff member finally processed the payment for her friend, all the while continuing their chat about her cat's MOT.
The woman behind us, accompanied by her child, had been waiting anxiously during this whole ordeal. When I politely mentioned to the staff member that there were other customers in line waiting to be served, she defensively claimed she was still serving someone. It was only when I pointed out that the payment had been completed and the delay was unnecessary that tensions escalated.
This kind of behavior from staff is truly disappointing and reflects poorly on the company. Customer service and efficiency should be top priorities, not personal conversations during work hours. I hope the management addresses this issue to prevent further incidents and maintain their standards. If you encounter a similar situation in the future, I recommend bringing it to the attention of the appropriate personnel.

I do declare, last Saturday morning, on the 8th of July, I sauntered into the cafeteria for a spot of breakfast. I indulged in a steaming cup of coffee and a black pudding roll, whilst my companion opted for a lorne sausage roll. Imagine my surprise when they informed me that they had run out of black pudding rolls! Off they scurried, likely to Greigs, to fetch more. Quite perplexing, as the place was not bustling with patrons. Eventually, they brought my roll to our table, with a gentle reminder to "take the rind off!" Lo and behold, not only did they deplete their stock of rolls, but they also served me one with the rind still intact! Oh, the audacity!

What a fantastic spot for a superstore. The car park is massive. You can shop, take a lovely stroll around the marina, dine at the nearby Italian restaurant, grab some fish and chips or ice cream for takeaway, or even hop on the ferry to Arran. It's not the biggest superstore, but it has all the essentials and then some. The staff may be a tad lacking in enthusiasm, but it's a tough gig. While it might appear a bit worn compared to other stores in the vicinity, it gets the job done.

Typical Asda experience. Had all the items we required. Tried out the scan & go feature, got picked for a random security check, and had only 1 employee assisting customers at the self-service checkouts while 3 other staff members stood around observing.

I frequent this establishment often and while it may not offer as wide a selection as some of the bigger stores, that's to be expected. Its biggest strength lies in its wonderful staff. I've interacted with customer service multiple times and the employees there are always eager to assist and pleasant. The checkout staff are exceptionally friendly and consistently cheerful. Whenever I've needed help locating an item, I've been personally escorted there instead of receiving a vague aisle number (I'm talking to you, Tesco). Shopping there is always a delightful experience and I will happily remain a loyal customer.

I've been trying to get in touch with someone at ASDA without much luck. It seems you can't reach anyone unless you have a specific extension number. I'm a regular shopper at ASDA, I go there at least twice a week. Today I accidentally left a 100-pack of cigarettes at the checkout and I can't inform the store about it. They really should update their automated voice system or provide extension numbers for direct assistance.
