I was so impressed with the checkout operator as she was informing the customer in front of me about the blue light program for NHS workers. Her knowledge and support for the nurse really stood out to me. :)
Michael Bailey (27/08/2025, 10:37):
We were off to do some shopping, whipped out our trusty blue light card for a lovely discount, only for the cashier to not apply it correctly. It wasn't until we had left the shop that we realized the error. Upon our return, we brought it to her attention, and she promptly issued us a gift card for the discounted amount we missed out on. However, when I attempted to use it weeks later, to my dismay, there was no money loaded on it. Quite disappointed with this turn of events.
Jeffrey Morales (24/08/2025, 16:59):
Lovely little shop, with a cracking cafe upstairs. Accessible by stairs or lift for convenience. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Plus, there's a petrol station for topping up your tank.
Ryan Thompson (24/08/2025, 09:04):
This establishment is quite chilly in the evenings; I had to bundle up in extra layers just to go shopping, which really shouldn't be the case as winter approaches. I can't fathom how the staff manage to work in such conditions. Regardless, the store is well-maintained and the employees are eager to assist. They offer a diverse range of food items with reasonable expiry dates. In addition, there's a bakery section at the rear where you can purchase freshly baked bread and rolls. It's a decent spot for daytime shopping, but be sure to dress warmly if you plan on venturing out for groceries in the evening.
Rachel Wright (21/08/2025, 16:15):
This store is great, the staff is super helpful. It seems like they are always restocking shelves during the day as I haven't seen any night shift fillers. It can be a bit challenging to maneuver around the large trolleys, but overall a good experience.
Lucy Lee (18/08/2025, 23:49):
I quite enjoy the variety of fruits and vegetables available at this supermarket, and I find it rather straightforward to navigate. The cafe is decent, and the restroom facilities are kept in good condition.
Wayne Ross (18/08/2025, 23:33):
I popped into the cafe nestled up on the second-floor terrace, overseeing the bustling shoppers below. As soon as I settled in, I couldn't help but notice the layer of dust lingering atop the shelves - quite off-putting, I must say.
When my "toastie" finally made its way to me, to my surprise, it was presented to me still snug in its wrapper. They had gone and microwaved it with the plastic wrap on! Utterly shocking, if you ask me.
All in all, not the most pleasant cafe experience, I must admit.
Brittany Carter (18/08/2025, 20:11):
I just got back from Asda, where I spent nearly 83 pounds at the Ardrossan Asda today. It was a good shopping experience, with helpful and polite staff.
Elizabeth Collins (18/08/2025, 07:53):
I was utterly flabbergasted by the abysmal service I received at the checkout and even more so at the café. The so-called sandwich I purchased had a minuscule amount of meat, no larger than your earlobe, tucked inside an excessively toasted footlong baguette. To make matters worse, after all 7 members of our group had finished their meals, my steak and cheese baguette was finally presented to me 😣. The woman behind the counter seemed genuinely perplexed when I approached to inquire about my long-awaited toasted sandwich 😂.
Sharon Gray (18/08/2025, 06:37):
The large supermarket is quite convenient as it is located nearby, although I have noticed that some products have less than ideal expiration dates. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. I tend to only purchase specific items there, opting to do my main grocery shopping at Morrisons where the expiration dates are better.
Dorothy Ramirez (16/08/2025, 21:28):
"Absolutely smashing, old chap!"
Russell Gray (16/08/2025, 17:03):
Asda was an absolute delight to visit. The hot chocolate was simply spectacular, the service was top-notch, and the view was breathtaking. The complimentary wifi was a lovely touch, and the coloring station added a delightful pop of color. Although it was a bit challenging to locate due to the lack of signage, the overall experience was definitely a perfect 10/10.
Michael Clark (15/08/2025, 20:03):
Great supermarket, it stocks a wide range of essential food items and also offers a selection of George clothing. It pretty much has everything you might need!
Bobby Gonzales (14/08/2025, 09:56):
I popped into the supermarket for just a quick browse and ended up leaving with a full basket of goodies! Their selection was so tempting, I couldn't resist grabbing a few extra bits along with the clothing item I originally came in for. What a great find!
Jessica White (14/08/2025, 01:36):
The staff is top-notch, and there's no need to wait in long queues. You can find almost any item here, including electrical appliances like TVs and microwaves. They have a convenient pick-up and drop-off point, and parking is free too.
Jennifer Walker (13/08/2025, 19:11):
I usually keep to myself, but I've been a loyal customer of this store since it first opened, and I must say, things have taken a turn for the worse! The expiration dates on the food products are appalling, the staff seem more interested in chatting than working efficiently. But what really irked me was my experience at the self-checkout. There was a woman working there who showed a complete lack of respect and her body language was completely unprofessional. As I was scanning my items, she kept shooting me dirty looks and would approach me whenever I made a mistake, huffing and making snide remarks that made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I don't like to complain, but as a paying customer, I believe I deserve to be treated with respect.
Mark Harris (11/08/2025, 20:09):
The store in Ardrossan offers a decent range of products, but I can't say I feel comfortable shopping there during these times. Despite the constant reminders about wearing masks and maintaining social distance, the reality inside the store is quite different. Many staff members are not wearing face coverings, and some have even pulled them down to their chin, leaving their mouth and nose exposed! Additionally, there are numerous customers who are also not wearing masks, and it seems like no one is enforcing this rule.
I've made the decision to steer clear of this shop as it's evident they are not taking the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. During my last visit, I couldn't find any disinfectant spray to clean my trolley. I strongly advise against shopping here, as their lack of commitment to customer safety is alarming. It's not just about making announcements over the loudspeaker; actions speak louder than words. If you're looking for a safer shopping experience, I recommend avoiding this supermarket and instead, opt for TESCO in Saltcoats or Sainsbury's in Irvine.
Martha Allen (08/08/2025, 15:25):
I must say, the customer service was rather subpar. There was this lady at the self-service counter who seemed more interested in chatting with a colleague than attending to the four flashing scanners that were waiting for her attention. She didn't seem to be in any hurry at all, just leisurely carrying on with her conversation until she felt like getting around to it. Quite disappointing, I must say.
Rose Hernandez (07/08/2025, 05:36):
This establishment is positively frigid in the evenings, I must say it's quite baffling how the employees manage to endure those chilly conditions. It really ought not to be tolerated. Typically, I don't fuss much about the cold. On a brighter note, the assistance provided at the self-checkout was splendid. After 10 pm, you are required to scan all items yourself, but the young lad was most accommodating. Much obliged.
Ralph Lopez (06/08/2025, 10:46):
I went to the supermarket on a Saturday expecting it to be open until 11pm as Google had stated, but when I arrived at 10:05pm, the store was already closed. It's frustrating that even 11 months later, this issue still hasn't been fixed.
