Asda Robroyston is a prominent supermarket located in Glasgow, recognized for its extensive offerings from groceries to household goods. However, customer experiences vary significantly, highlighting both advantages and areas for improvement.
Accessibility and Parking
At Asda Robroyston, free of charge street parking is available, making it convenient for shoppers. The store features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, which are essential for customers with mobility issues. Unfortunately, several reviews indicate that finding available spots, especially for disabled parking, can be challenging, as some able-bodied individuals improperly utilize these spaces.
Shopping Experience
While many appreciate the large premises, customers have noted that the store often appears understocked. Several reviews mentioned shelves resembling “three days after a nuclear apocalypse,” particularly in the produce area, where items like fruits and vegetables tend to spoil quickly. Customers seeking specific products, such as beef mince, frequently find them unavailable, leading to disappointment.
Convenient Service Options
Asda offers various service options, including in-store pick-up and no-contact delivery, which many find beneficial. However, the Click and Collect experience has received mixed feedback due to inefficiencies in notification systems and long wait times for orders.
In addition, contactless payment options like NFC mobile payments and acceptance of credit and debit cards streamline the checkout process. However, customers often report long queues at traditional checkouts, which can take up to 20 minutes during peak hours.
Recycling and Environmentally Friendly Initiatives
Asda is committed to sustainability, encouraging customers to recycle plastic bags and use glass bottles. Recycling stations and initiatives help promote environmentally friendly practices within the community. Nevertheless, some reviews have pointed out concerns regarding the presence of empty packaging on shelves, raising questions about overall store management.
Customer Service and Staff Interaction
Many visitors highlighted the helpfulness of staff members, with specific individuals receiving commendations for outstanding service. In contrast, there were reports of rude interactions and inadequate responses, particularly concerning customer complaints. Ensuring consistent training for staff could enhance the shopping experience significantly.
Pharmacy Services
Asda Robroyston also houses a pharmacy that has been noted for its helpful staff, particularly in urgent situations. However, there are complaints about limited operating hours, which can frustrate customers who rely on these services during weekends.
Final Thoughts
In summary, Asda Robroyston Superstore provides a great variety of offerings, including a pharmacy and a wide selection of food products. While the parking and accessibility features are commendable, ongoing issues with stock availability and customer service can deter shoppers. For those considering a quick visit, it may be wise to plan ahead, especially during peak times. With some improvements, Asda Robroyston has the potential to enhance its reputation and become a leading supermarket choice in Glasgow.

I'm absolutely fuming having to write this... Went to the customer service desk for some assistance with Asda rewards, and was simply told to read the information provided. I had already thoroughly gone through it and was just seeking a little guidance. All she said was it would consume my entire day 😡 THANKS!!
Would've been better off waiting to ask at Bishopbriggs, the ladies there are way more welcoming and helpful.

After 8 pm, one might find a limited supply of tomatoes and cucumbers, a scarce variety of houmous, as well as the absence of gouda or mozzarella cheese at the local Supermarket.

Conveniently located, can get quite crowded during busy hours. Ample parking available 🅿️ ...
Victoria Gomez (10/07/2025, 08:25):
The customer service at Supermarket is truly top-notch in every department. I must say, the snack bar service is quite impressive, far superior to what you would find at the Kirkintiloch branch of Asda. Kudos to the team for their hard work and dedication!
Kelly Baker (09/07/2025, 16:59):
Usually well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful.
One downside is that many of the shopping cart return areas have missing or broken coins for unlocking the carts. Today, I had to walk quite a distance through the rain to find a cart bay with a working coin slot. This should be a simple fix, Asda!

I utilized the "Click and Collect" service for pickup at Robroyston. What a complete disaster! Normally, I collect my orders at Bishopbriggs where you simply pull up, scan a barcode, and within minutes someone delivers your shopping to your car. However, at Robroyston... No way! You have to park in the click and collect bay which is situated at the farthest point from the store. To make matters worse, there is no method to signal the staff of your arrival. I had to get all three of my very young children out of the vehicle, trek across the entire car park, and then wait for an available staff member at the kiosk to inform them of my presence. Subsequently, I endured a lengthy wait in-store before finally being escorted back to my car!
This process is highly inconvenient, exacerbated by its location in the most inconvenient section of the car park. Robroyston, you should seriously reconsider offering this "service" unless you can bring it up to the standards of other stores.

I reckon it'd be a smashing idea to have the trolley cleaning station over at the trolley park rather than at the front entrance, don't you think? That way, folks can give the trolley handles a good scrub before laying their hands on them, instead of waiting in line and holding them for a bit before getting into the store. Just makes sense, doesn't it?

Alex, the security guard on duty today after (11/12.05.23 03:15), was truly an incredible staff member who deserves to be commended for exceptional customer service, whether part of the Asda team or security! He went above and beyond, despite not wearing the "Asda uniform," while all other staff members in their "Asda" attire completely ignored me... disrespectful, did not check stock levels, and the list goes on! The only reason I would consider revisiting this Asda store is because of the security guard, Alex! I hope he receives the recognition he deserves for his outstanding customer service, interactions, and going the extra mile.

Just purchased a package of extra flavorful chicken breasts, arrived home and unpacked my groceries only to find out that the package was expired on the 8th of January, nearly a month ago. Absolutely absurd!! Step up your game ASDA.

Worst chemist in Glasgow
This is the second time I've been there and there's a lass at the counter who mocks your private health issues. You can hear them giggling while discussing it with the pharmacist, and even worse, the staff gather around to see who she's talking about. It should be easy to chat with the pharmacist, so bringing in a girl who cracks dirty jokes or provides incorrect information is disgusting.
I had to specifically ask for the pharmacist herself, a petite Asian lady, and present my case before they took me seriously and addressed my issue.
It's truly unacceptable, and the pharmacist should not tolerate such nonsense or be more careful about who they hire.
Asda should hang their heads in shame.

I absolutely adore shopping at Supermarket. The staff are incredibly helpful and the checkout team is always cheerful. However, I was completely appalled this evening while waiting in line. A lady was asked for her ID to purchase alcohol and she proceeded to berate the checkout woman, who was simply doing her job. Despite this, the checkout operator, Serjit, remained calm and treated the customer with utmost respect. It's truly shocking what these workers have to endure, yet they maintain their professionalism. Kudos to you, Serjit! I hope I spelled your name correctly. Ann Fleming

This supermarket is absolutely brilliant, I must say! The shopping carts are always easy to find, thanks to the amazing team who gathers them up, and they are always so friendly and polite. One of them, Michael, stands out above the rest with his exceptional service. Hats off to him! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Megan Young (22/06/2025, 22:32):
Visited the store earlier and had a fantastic experience with Stacey and the other lady at the pizza counter. They whipped up two delicious veggie pizzas for me, though I did have to wait about 30 minutes due to the busy rush. However, it was definitely worth it! Both of them were really friendly, and getting two pizzas and a large bottle of Coke for just £6 is quite the steal.
Kelly Diaz (20/06/2025, 13:57):
This shop is usually quite smashing. My family, including my disabled elderly mother, were recently mistreated and treated very poorly by the security chaps. My dear mother took the time to pen a letter outlining the unfair treatment we received and simply asking for an apology and some improved customer service training for the security team.
When I tried to deliver this letter to the shop, the security chaps were incredibly hostile towards me. They told me to skedaddle and warned that if I dared to return that same day, I risked being permanently banned from all Asda shops. Absolutely appalling behavior from the security team at this establishment.
Ronald Jenkins (18/06/2025, 00:18):
I ventured into the grocer's today, grabbed a package of Galaxy Ripple for 1 pound, and made my way to the till. To my surprise, I was charged 1.50 pounds. I double-backed to inspect and spotted another display not adjacent to the 1-pound label, but those are indeed the ones priced at a pound. Mind your shopping receipts, as this seems to be a recurring practice in all supermarkets. Stay vigilant! 👀👀
Sarah Simmons (14/06/2025, 23:30):
I wouldn't even give them one star, absolutely appalling! Found a hair in my ready meal, and then when I bought a kettle, the alarm went off at the exit. The security guard checked my receipt, and when I purchased some clothing, the alarm beeped again. I spent my hard-earned money just to be treated like a criminal. They seriously treat us like doormats!
Russell Sanders (12/06/2025, 13:47):
Today's delivery was lacking all the frozen items I had ordered. The delivery arrived right before noon, and I called shortly after to report the issue. A lady assured me she would reach out to the driver for a redelivery, so I patiently waited for a few hours. When I called back at 5 pm, it was a surprise that no one seemed to know about the situation. Most of the staff handling deliveries were unavailable, but they promised to either arrange a late delivery tonight or contact me tomorrow morning, which doesn't help as I need the items urgently. I had no choice but to cancel the order and request a refund, though I dread the wait time for that. Now, I have to go elsewhere to get the items I needed. The customer service experience was absolutely appalling, especially considering how often I shop at this supermarket.
Janet Garcia (10/06/2025, 11:17):
The duty manager who was working this evening is an absolute gem. She graciously assisted my father in getting back home by arranging for a staff member to use their debit card to pay for his fuel when he had forgotten his own. Massive thanks to the Asda team for ensuring my father got safely home.
Allison Brooks (09/06/2025, 18:46):
The chaps at the chemist really outdid themselves when my niece's medicine bottle took a tumble on its way up from England. It was late on Friday arvo, but they went the extra mile to sort things out and make sure she got what she needed. We're ever so grateful for all their help. Cheers to them!
Emily James (09/06/2025, 13:55):
The staff at the Supermarket were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely return for my next holiday currency exchange.
