Accessibility and Convenience

Recycling Initiatives

A growing concern among shoppers is sustainability and recycling. Unfortunately, many customers have expressed disappointment regarding the lack of recycling facilities for items like glass bottles, metal cans, and batteries that cannot be easily recycled at home, indicating a need for the store to enhance its eco-friendly practices.

Food Quality and Fresh Produce

While Asda offers great produce, feedback suggests that the quality and availability of fresh items like fruits and vegetables may occasionally fall short. Shoppers have complained about low stock levels and short-dated products, which can detract from the overall shopping experience.

Customer Experiences and Highlights

Many customers have highlighted the friendly nature of the staff and their willingness to help. Instances like the quick recovery of lost items by security personnel such as Trish demonstrate excellent customer service. However, frequent reports mention the disarray within the store and the under-staffing at checkout points, leading to delays, particularly during peak hours.

Café and Dining Experience

The café at Asda Bishopbriggs has received mixed reviews. While some describe it as a pleasant place to dine, others express dissatisfaction with food quality and temperature. Instances of poor service are concerning and suggest areas for improvement.

Conclusion

Asda Bishopbriggs Superstore serves as a vital resource for local shoppers, offering a convenient selection of products and services. However, addressing issues related to stock availability, cleanliness, and customer service could significantly enhance the shopping experience. Despite the challenges, many continue to appreciate the store's offerings and the friendly staff who aim to assist at every turn.

Donald Robinson (15/07/2025, 20:15):
I recently had an interesting experience with this supermarket on Uber Eats. The store itself is great, but I was shocked by their prices on the delivery app - I did a little price comparison and discovered they charged me £24.68 for my order, when it would have only been £16.40 if I had purchased it in-store. To make matters worse, it was supposed to be a special deal that should have cost me £16.46, including croissants. However, they were out of stock on the croissants and ended up canceling the entire order, leaving me below the promotional value.

When I tried to explain the situation to the Uber driver, they insisted on delivering the incomplete order without adjusting the price. I've filed a complaint with Uber Eats, but I don't have high hopes for a resolution.
Juan Nguyen (15/07/2025, 11:15):
Certainly, dear. It's been quite a struggle lately. The hustle and bustle in the supermarket is just overwhelming. It's disheartening to see some folks not adhering to pandemic protocols, not wearing their masks. I had to skip a couple of aisles myself as it was just too crowded to navigate through. Quite a frustrating shopping ordeal, I must say.
Zachary Myers (14/07/2025, 15:54):
Another store that has removed the disabled parking spaces next to the entrance.
Brian Scott (14/07/2025, 12:11):
The manager, he does be telling fibs about all sorts of things on the blower. It's really not on, you know!
Thomas White (06/07/2025, 04:45):
Pretty average ASDA, just bear in mind that petrol and diesel aren't available 24 hours.
Roy Price (06/07/2025, 04:26):
The shelves and freezers were completely bare, what a waste of my taxi fare.
Cheryl Rivera (05/07/2025, 20:42):
I was informed that I wasn't allowed to bring a shopping cart into the self-checkout. I wouldn't have minded, except there was already a cart in there, and they appeared to be pals! So I suppose if they recognize you, it's acceptable!! I also purchased three "bags for life" which only lasted about five minutes; as I lifted the bags out of the cart and into the car, the handles and the body of the bag fell apart. If you're going to claim that they are bags for life, please invest in some quality control. Moreover, there doesn't seem to be much social distancing and the arrows on the ground indicating the store's layout are more of a suggestion than a rule. I believe Asda ought to scrutinize their staff at this location, as it's quite a disappointment compared to the better stores out there.
Mia Hamilton (05/07/2025, 15:34):
I must say, some of the staff are not the most cheerful and tend to be a bit silent at the checkout. I would recommend anyone popping in here to always have a quick look at your receipt because I've been overcharged a couple of times.

I did have the hassle of having to pop back the following day to get my refund, and didn't even get an apology for the mix-up.

On the bright side, the shop overall appears to be well-kept and organized, and carries most of the essentials for your everyday shopping needs.
Judith Gonzalez (05/07/2025, 12:29):
The visit was for a dental procedure within the supermarket.
Theresa Hall (04/07/2025, 21:56):
I recently purchased gas at that supermarket and found the price to be quite competitive.
Pamela Miller (04/07/2025, 18:36):
I've been frequenting this establishment for more than 30 years, and I must say that the staff members are still friendly when I engage with them. However, I have noticed that they tend to chat amongst themselves in small clusters rather than focusing on assisting customers. The overall cleanliness of the store, both inside and outside, leaves much to be desired. Additionally, I often find that the shelves are only half stocked, which can be quite disappointing.
Linda Turner (03/07/2025, 20:18):
The staff at Supermarket are really friendly and accessible. It's always a pleasant experience interacting with them.
Zoey Harris (03/07/2025, 17:24):
Just popped in for the first time. Absolutely charming staff, I must say.
Amelia Kim (02/07/2025, 18:08):
The staff at this ASDA location are absolutely brilliant, always ready to lend a hand to customers with a smile. The restocking of shelves is top-notch, making sure that items are almost never out of stock. That's why ASDA Bishopbriggs is my go-to supermarket every time.
Barbara Kim (28/06/2025, 11:58):
I fancy this shop, it's quite well-equipped especially for household essentials like non-food items. They've got a vast selection of electrical gadgets, plants, BBQs, and outdoor gear.
Sara Rivera (28/06/2025, 11:23):
The selection of food is a tad on the limited side for my taste, I do tend to lean towards more variety in my grocery options.
Christian Johnson (25/06/2025, 03:46):
Shopping at this supermarket is a breeze, with a well-organized layout that makes it easy to find everything you need.
Emily Anderson (19/06/2025, 20:46):
The staff were mostly helpful. There wasn't much left on the shelves on a Monday, which was a bit disappointing.
Logan Powell (19/06/2025, 15:28):
The personnel seem to prefer engaging in conversation amongst themselves while leaving you waiting for a good 20 minutes before attending to you.
Jessica Young (18/06/2025, 09:02):
All you need for a lovely shopping experience at Asda, with their friendly staff!
