Recycling Initiatives

A growing concern among shoppers is sustainability and recycling. Unfortunately, many customers have expressed disappointment regarding the lack of recycling facilities for items like glass bottles, metal cans, and batteries that cannot be easily recycled at home, indicating a need for the store to enhance its eco-friendly practices.

Food Quality and Fresh Produce

Customer Experiences and Highlights

Many customers have highlighted the friendly nature of the staff and their willingness to help. Instances like the quick recovery of lost items by security personnel such as Trish demonstrate excellent customer service. However, frequent reports mention the disarray within the store and the under-staffing at checkout points, leading to delays, particularly during peak hours.

Café and Dining Experience

The café at Asda Bishopbriggs has received mixed reviews. While some describe it as a pleasant place to dine, others express dissatisfaction with food quality and temperature. Instances of poor service are concerning and suggest areas for improvement.

Conclusion

Asda Bishopbriggs Superstore serves as a vital resource for local shoppers, offering a convenient selection of products and services. Lovely shop layout. Items easy to locate. Lots of free parking available. Two convenient cash machines on the exterior wall.
Kathryn Russell (17/06/2025, 01:11):
The checkout staff at this establishment are quite amicable. However, I must note that the customer service representatives do not consistently offer a £2 gift card when there has been an overcharge, as per the policy. This may not be common knowledge among patrons. It has come to my attention through a trustworthy informant that these cards may be reserved for personal use by the staff. I would recommend customers to inspect their receipts diligently and to consistently request the discount card.
Hannah Edwards (16/06/2025, 15:39):
I must say, this Tesco is a real shocker. I've never encountered such a messy store before! From spills in every aisle to 15 leaks in the roof, and I swear, one of the aisles gives off some seriously spooky vibes. Quite a grim experience, if you ask me!
Charles Butler (15/06/2025, 14:28):
It appears that the management of this supermarket may have slipped in recent times. The selection of products is frequently lacking, with noticeable gaps on the shelves.
Joe Taylor (10/06/2025, 07:46):
One of the most grimy supermarkets I have ever laid eyes on. It's as if the big shots at ASDA HQ are completely unaware of the existence of the Bishopbriggs store. The employees scatter rubbish throughout the aisles and simply stroll off, leaving a mess in their wake. I'm baffled as to how the higher-ups allow such negligence. Every level of every aisle is strewn with cardboard, plastic wrapping, or unidentifiable spills, yet not a single staff member makes an effort to tidy up. It's truly cringeworthy. This supermarket feels like the option of last resort.
Lauren Martin (07/06/2025, 11:00):
The employees at this Supermarket are really lovely and always ready to assist, so I'd give them 1 star. However, there seems to be a lack of staff available at the checkouts, especially during the early morning and evening. The mandatory use of self-service machines is not ideal, particularly for elderly customers who frequent this store. The fresh produce often has short expiry dates, and there have been instances of items on the shelves that are already past their sell-by date. Additionally, the store frequently runs low on essential items and tonight they were completely out of bananas (see attached picture). It appears that something has drastically changed in this Asda compared to around 10 years ago when it was excellent and even better than its larger Robroyston counterpart.
Sophia Hill (03/06/2025, 22:10):
The staff at Supermarket are ever so friendly, helpful, and polite. And let me tell you, the prices are quite reasonable too.
Doris Murphy (02/06/2025, 03:15):
Big store, lovely employees, wide range of goods
Alan Gutierrez (30/05/2025, 21:47):
The vacuum machine was kaput, no indication whatsoever. Still swiped my 50p.
Elizabeth Diaz (30/05/2025, 00:31):
I had to give them one star for the pizza counter. I requested cheese and tomato, only to be told they don't offer tomato. How can they not offer one of your essential 5-a-day vegetables? Unbelievable!
Mary Kim (29/05/2025, 18:03):
A splendid array of goods at the supermarket with excellent pricing, I must say!
Carol Young (28/05/2025, 15:56):
Had a brilliant experience with the security team at Asda a few weeks back. They were extremely helpful, going above and beyond their duty.
